How the hell did you people get tickets?
Me, my sister, and my cousin were all shut out.

Anyway, since Radiohead is my girlfriend's favorite band, I might as well put this out there: anyone with an extra ticket, or two, please let me know. PM me.

I am extremely fast on Ticketmaster. I have never been shut out of a show.

    Leaving for Radiohead now!

  • if anybody going snags an extra emek poster, I would love one :D

I heard they weren't selling the EMEK ones at the show. There is another one that comes in four different colors or something..

anyway, if they are selling them tonight, I'll grab an extra if I can for ya..
  • oh ya? I just saw the image over on Ebeans so figured that was the poster. Thanks

this is another gig poster for the shows, but looks like it's sold out (only sold online, not at the show...doesn't make much sense to me).

I loved the new songs! They played 9 TKoL session songs today (6 from the actual album) and I thought each sounded great.

I wish the show was a little longer, but they did play for about 2 hours. The coolest part is that I am pretty sure the second encore was an actual encore and not just a premeditated short set. After the first encore, the house lights came on, the venue started playing music, and some people in the back started leaving. But most of the crowd cheered so loud for about five minutes as the crew was beginning to clear the stage. Eventually the band came back on and performed two more songs, and you could see them discussing with each other what they should play. Also, Thom had already changed his shirt. It was a really cool moment for the fans.

Did anyone here really go? I heard it was insane and that Olivia Wilde was there, if I knew she was going to be there I so would have paid scalper prices.

I went to the show last night and thought it was awesome. Been awhile since I've seen Radiohead but DAMN are they awesome live. Really cool hearing a lot of the new stuff, "15 Step" was highlight for me.

I actually got shutout but a buddy of mine at work came up to my desk around 10:03 and is like, "hey, so I got Radiohead tix... wanna go?" I was PUMPED. I knew about 20 people trying and 3 got through. Tough ticket for sure.

Have any of you guys heard a rumor about Radiohead playing on Wall Street this afternoon? I know that sounds weird, but someone told me they heard that and asked me to investigate?? Thoughts?
  • chimpatchimpat Posts: 590
Yes, a couple websites have announced it but a rep for the band has denied it. Supposed to be at 4pm if it goes down. It's for the anti-Wall Street protesters.

  • I was at last nights show and had a great time. I like KOL but the tracks sound soo much better live- esp Feral and Morning Mr Magpie may be the best one - it was played very fast. I also hope that a recording of these shows pop up.

I kinda feel all Radiohead music is better live and I assumed this was the case with KOL.

The band's management are denying it here http://www.nastylittleman.com/ but word spread of this pretty quickly, so maybe just an attempt to divert some of what will probably be a huge crowd. If they're trying to mess with Wall Street, they'll certainly be able to pull that off having a free concert in a public park at rush hour on a Friday  Though they probably will only play 5-6 songs at most anyway.

  • Last night's show was awesome! 15 Step and Myxomatosis were the highlights for me. All the new stuff(Bloom, Feral, Morning Mr. Magpie, etc) sounded good. Staircase is also a really good song.

They had the 4 color posters. Didn't get any. However, I was standing near Jack Black and his crew and some dude came out from backstage and handed them 6 or 7 EMEK posters!! I asked for one but was denied. They looked sick!

People offered me $500 to $600 for my ticket! Crazy!

All in all, it was a great first Radiohead live experience!

All I Need was played the first night too. Actually, these were pretty similar sets. I am jealous that I missed Supercollider though.
