Good luck on getting tix guys. If I were in the NY area i'd be all over trying to get some myself for sure. This will certainly be a hard ticket to get, but RH is trying to cut out the scalpers by giving short notice and doing will call only.
They're playing 4 songs on Colbert Report on Monday, 9/26. So, I guess that is why they scheduled those 2 NY dates, since they'll already be in the area. I also read the other day that the new Atoms for Peace album is almost done and there will be a full US Radiohead tour in 2012. Last time I saw them was in 08 at All Points West in Dirty Jersey and then at Comcast Ctr. in Mass after In Rainbows. I'd love a full tour now, but im sure it'll be well worth the wait. And maybe, just maybe theyll finally decide to play in Connecticut too...but I wont hold my breath for that

are they a good act live? I dont really like their music but wonder if they play it the same way live, cuz I know its not really conventional
Truly amazing live. I had the privilege and luck to be front row, dead center, for two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in 2003 and, as someone who is intimately familiar with Radiohead's entire catalog, I was blown away seeing how they generated some of the sounds on the record up close.
Another show in Boston in 1997 two months after "OK Computer" came out is in the running for greatest show I've ever seen, and that's coming from someone who has had some pretty amazing experiences across 44 Pearl Jam shows.
I also was fortunate enough to be near the front (feel free to look at my pictures at http://gallery.mac.com/ben.silverstein# ... &view=grid) and honestly, think it may have been the most memorable concert I've ever been to. Toronto '08 for the In Rainbows tour, just spectacular.
I was at that 97 Boston Radiohead show too!! Definitely one of the best shows I ever saw by anyone! Hope I get a ticket to Roseland and can say the same about that too!

$80 to see Radiohead is fucking awesome. And at such a small venue (3,500 i read). I wish other bands we knew tried to keep their ticket prices reasonable. Too bad both shows go onsale at the same time thought. Man I wish I could go! Waiting till next year to see these guys is killing me!!!!

Maybe the site is flooded with people right now because tix just went on sale on hour ago.
I know! I am like half still trying and half arguing with a Radiohead fan why I hit the F5 button...
While basically getting him lessons on how to be a fan of his own band on here! (thx btw!)
No Radiohead For You! Why Some Fans Were Denied Tickets
By Anna Prior
Thom Yorke of Radiohead performs at the Park Stage at the Glastonbury Festival site at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 24, 2011 in Glastonbury, England.
It’s a routine that many concert goers are familiar with: sign on to Ticketmaster’s web site five minutes before tickets go on sale, click refresh on the hour, and hope that you don’t end up with a 15-minute wait time.
But what greeted many fans of British rock band Radiohead this morning, including this writer, was perhaps even more frustrating—tickets for two highly-anticipated New York City shows this week were in customers’ carts, seemingly secured, and then an error message popped up during processing.
“It’s worse than just getting shutout because the tickets were on the screen, right there!” says Emily Ryan, 29, a graphic designer in New York who was logged on this morning trying to get tickets. Her colleague, 24-year-old writer Shelia Moaleman, was able to claim two tickets, but when Shelia went to check out, she got the error message. “I thought I was in, and now I’m screwed,” says Ryan.
It’s not like Ticketmaster hasn’t dealt with high-demand events before—tickets for concerts like Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen sell out in what seems like seconds, which is why some fans were speechless when told by customer service reps that a computer glitch could be to blame. (A representative for Ticketmaster says the company has heard some customers had issues are are looking into it.) “We did everything right and your website screwed up,” says Ryan. “It shouldn’t release tickets that are being purchased.”
A representative for Radiohead declined to comment.
A two-ticket limit and proof of ID at will call policy, should have, in theory, thwarted the scalpers. Both shows appeared to be sold out in minutes and by the afternoon, Ticketmaster had taken down the ability to search for tickets. Frantic fans can still find tickets on resale sites like TicketsNow…for more than $1,000 each.
Many fans expect to have difficulties getting tickets to popular shows, and those like Alex Suskind, 25, an associate editor at Moviefone based in NY, have been shutout plenty of times in the past. Though Suskind didn’t get as far as the credit card page, the one minute wait time when he initially searched got his hopes up. “I’ve done this so many times and a minute-wait usually means you’ve got them, but then it creeped up to two, then three,” he says. By 15 minutes, the connection had timed out. “I’m a huge Radiohead fan,” he says. “Thinking I had a shot…it’s disappointing.”

There are 4 bands I put above all the rest and after tomorrow I can say I saw them all in 2011 !!!!!!
I saw The Roots in May.
I saw My Morning Jacket in August (and will see them in December too).
I saw Pearl Jam this month.
And I will be seeing Radiohead tomorrow night!
How the hell did you people get tickets?
Me, my sister, and my cousin were all shut out.
Anyway, since Radiohead is my girlfriend's favorite band, I might as well put this out there: anyone with an extra ticket, or two, please let me know. PM me.
