I'm 211xxx and was in section 123. Once again, I was so pleased with my seats. Toronto II was the first time I sat in the wings (I usually get row 17-24, depending on the venue) and I loved being in the wings again. It's awesome to be able to actually watch the band, instead of the back of heads. Both nights I was on Mike's side, and he is so fun to watch. He has so much energy and has so much interaction with the crowd. Eddie was outstanding that way, too. Man, they all looked like they were having so much fun. Lots of smiles and laughs. It was really great to watch.

Highlights for me were Immortality, Not For You, Brain of J, and GTF. Additionally, from the start of Jeremy through the entire first and second encores to Yellow Ledbetter was outstanding! I didn't know Search and Destroy or I Remember You  , but they were fantastic, particularly the latter. I Remember You was beautiful. It was a touching moment and I loved how nearly the entire arena was silent, just listening to Eddie. Beautiful.

Yet another fantastic Pearl Jam concert. They never cease to amaze me. I got the pleasure of seeing them three times this tour and last night was my last, and it is bittersweet. Post-Pearl Jam depression should be settling in shortly. :)

It's interesting that they crossed out DTE for Hail Hail. This was my 10th show and it was the first time they didn't play DTE. My consecutive streak has come to an end. :)

Oh, and overall, I thought the crowd was great! My only criticism was the number of people who arrived late and clumsily made their way to their seats. There was also a bunch of people who were up and down the entire night. I try to focus on the band, but it's distracting when you have people climbing over you all night to get to the aisle and then back to their seats. Annoying. :?

I'm pleased with either DTE or Hail Hail. I've heard both songs live multiple times, and I love 'em both!!

I'm pretty good with anything from No Code or Yield. :)

Or most anything by Pearl Jam....

I feel the same way. I LOVE GTF and want it played at every show I'm at. It makes me happy. Unthought Known is my favourite off of Backspacer and it's quickly becoming a favourite overall. I like to soar!!

Is it me, or are their jams a little bit longer and more frisky on this tour? Even the end of Betterman was more rocking and longer than usual

Awesome of Ed to extend the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee on Black[/quote]

You are right on point about the jams being longer. I have waited years for this, and they are finally jamming out some songs. This was my 10th show, and its right up there with Buffalo 03'. The energy in the building was great, awesome set, Ed was on Fireeeeee!

Highlights were Immortality & not for you.

Totally agree - every jam has been outstanding. Last night's Immortality was unbelievable. And even Habit.

Smarchee - didn't run into you at all this tour....but glad you had fun and got great seats! :)

well I am glad someone noticed, definitly jams are longer this tour, which is awesome. Were you in Ottawa? The RMV jam was phenomenal, I will revisit this first on the bootleg.

Yeah, that's too bad I didn't run into you :( I did have fun, as I am sure you as well. Seats were great last night for sure....(except) for the people beside me, thought they didn't ruin anything for me, but

this is what the female of the 2 people said to me as the first interaction of the night
"would you have a problem if I peed here during the show" and then made a frontward squatting motion into the floor. :? :? :? :? :o:o :? :? :|

before I could reply she said "would you call the authorities"

the dude than said "yeah, I did that at the Molson Amp last time PJ were there"
    :|:|:|:|

I shit you not, I thought "oh great, meatheads"

so I said "well, I wouldn't go to the authorities, but I can't say that would enhance my Pearl Jam experience"

and the conversation ensued with him talking about tickets and seating, someone who just joined the club this tour, great

wow, was that a weird 2 minutes

    Was he in Section 123?

We noticed that some guy had beer delivered to him and that people on the floor were pointing and taking pictures of him, but all we saw was the back of a blonde with hockey hair.

Edit: The guy we saw was wearing a plaid shirt (I believe) at the beginning of the concert, but he could have taken it off.

Dude you were in my row. What seats were you in? I thought the energy was ok.

We had seats 11 and 12.

So you were right beside us: we were 9 & 10. You were right on the aisle no?

HA! What are the chances? :D We were two in from the aisle.

I was at both Toronto shows and Hamilton was my 9th show. I think last nights and 2005 Hamilton shows are near the top for favorite. The Ten club fans and the energy really help make the shows so enjoyable. I just hope my turn comes with the lottery seats. What are the odds in winning those rows?

So did you see what happened with the guy who got booted? The guy who had his hands in the air like 90% of the time when he wasn't taking pictures or leaving his seat for 3-4 songs at a time?

First post. My 8th show, but first one using Tenclub to get tickets. Was blown away with results, very very
    thankful to Tenclub for lottery.

Eddie tossed that tambourine almost right over my head to a euphoric older gentlemen in the 2nd row.

I read what you posted Golden Egg and I was thinking the exact same thing, the crowd in my section seemed pretty cold fish compared to the Toronto shows. I now realize I was in the same row as you, on the other side of MarkieMark, seats 7 and 8, haha.

I saw the whole thing go down between those guys in front of us. The one dude kept talking to his buddy at the other end of the row and passing beers back and forth and finally that bald guy lost it on them and a fight almost broke out. The rest of the show his buddy was giving the bald guy mad dog stares and I thought for sure something was going to happen. I gotta say that kind of chest thumping aggression at a Pearl Jam show seemed so out of place and really killed the vibe for me. Which was a shame because the band seemed to be on fire and if the seating had slightly shifted and I was behind Ike the dancing maniac like I have been for the past 8 years of tours then I probably would've ranked Hamilton my fav of the 3 shows I saw.

I won the lottery for the 9th time last night but do me a favor and don't let Santos L Helper know
    because he thinks I'm lying.

I sure did, since I'm the one who had to get security :)

The guy was pretty much wasted from the moment he showed up to his seat (2 - 3 songs in to the show). He kept hugging and bothering the guys sitting next to him in the row and they kept telling him to get lost. Thankfully he kept leaving (giving my wife and I an excellent view!) for 20+ min at a time. The last time he came back (a couple songs before Black) he was really out of it. Apparently he had a friend with tickets at the opposite end of the row and he felt that he should constantly turn and sing to his friend. In doing so, he kept pushing the two guys to his right. Those guys told him to cool it, which is when he snapped and started getting violent. He grabbed one of the guys and tried to start a fight. That's when I was asked to get the attention of security, who promptly escorted him away.

I believe the guy's friend at the end of the row also got escorted out during the encore break, as I was told he was causing trouble after learning his friend was removed from the venue.

FIRE!... the band… the crowd.. ON FIRE!!
Sorry TO, but this is 2 Canadian tours that Hamilton has outdone you. If you asked me on Tuesday or Wednesday how these guys could top TO night 2, I would’ve said you’re crazy, but my god… my god. I don’t know if it’s the size difference or the people of Hamilton, but this band at this venue is absolute gold! Even the pre-party was insanely packed. They actually started to turn people away at 5PM because the bar was at maximum capacity.

Anyways, about the show… GTF as an opener is fantastic… so happy to hear Severed Hand… beautiful version of Immortality… love the way Setting Forth fits in with the whole band… Ole live just kicks ass… so so happy I got to hear Cropduster live… Daughter with a cool tag still blows me away every time… the ending jam on Habit showed how much fun this band is having on this tour… the speech about Johnny Ramones death and Ed’s daughter really hit me hard as I’m sure it did to many others… anytime I get to hear State I’m a happy kid… Porch, well I can hear Porch live every day for the rest of my life and never get bored… Brain Of J as a request was a great encore 2 kick-off… Crazy Mary had one of my new favourite PJ moments of all time (Mike and Boom were jamming at the end for like 5 minutes. I can’t believe more people haven’t commented on it)… S&D was a huge surprise, I was expecting Kick Out The Jams, but was very happy with this (even though I had to look it up to see who wrote it)… the “up” of Alive and “down” of Ledbetter was a perfect ending to a perfect concert.

Thank you 10C for row 30 on the floor and thank you Ticketmaster for seating short people in front of me. To anyone who complained and said the crowd wasn’t into it……. you need help, serious help…. Stop going to PJ concerts!

Thank you PJ for a fantastic week, until the next time.

Thanks again for my third but very unfortunate last show of this tour. But I am walking away with a spring in my step and totally recharged. No words can explain what I carry away from these shows. The JAMS tonight were incredible!!!!!! U, Immortality, Ole, Blitzkrieg Bop, Cropduster, Habit, PUSH ME PULL ME :o , I Remember You - SO SWEET  , I Wanna be Your Boyfriend, Brain of J (thanks to that great sign), Search and Destroy....WOW Ok the whole damn thing... And a very surprise opener of Given to fly :P Great seats again in section 122 thank you 10C :D Another great shout out to lovely Laura as well!! Enjoy the rest of the PJ20 tour you lucky, lucky people!
    Peace,

Well I say good an ya (or whomever asked you) to get security. I have zero tolerance for people who are so inconsiderate that they diminish the enjoyment of those around them. Those guys in front of us were true fans who were there to rock out. That guy who was removed was a bit of a tool so like I said I definitely enjoyed the second half when he was gone better.

On a related note, did you guys find the girl that he seemed to be with annoying at all? He had his hands in the air right in front of me, but she was constantly taking pictures or even worse videos. I kept wondering if she was right in front of you guys when she was doing that.

thank you 10club for the seats! no lottery but 19th row floor stone side was the closest i've been since the GA days. certainly better than i expected at 295xxx. i'll spare everyone the full review because i always sound more critical than thankful on paper. but getting 4 firsts (u, push me pull me, search and destroy, i remember you), after as many shows as i've seen... i don't know how they do it. i just hope they keep doing it.

While I hate when people hold up cameras as much as she did, the way she held her arms provided a clear view right to the stage  Thankfully though she decided she'd rather hang out in the aisle, instead of her seat. So we didn't have to worry about her for long.

I will try and keep my review of the Hamilton show brief....

    - The crowd sucked. I sat in 10C seats on Stone's side and the majority of people were standing there like a lump of coal. As a Hamiltonian who saw my 20th show last night, I want to apologize on behalf of my city. Toronto, your crowd made us look like losers.

    - Ed drank too much tonight. He was in a great mood, but sounded better in Toronto.
    - Boom absolutely sucked tonight... which is rare because he is usually on fire. Half the time he wasn't even on stage and during crazy mary his solo was the worst I have ever heard. Thankfully Mike was teasing him and trying his hardest to get Boom going.

    - Stone, Jeff and Mike were awesome. Matt didn't blow me away tonight, but he was still very good.

    - The beer lines were ridiculous... so bad that I didn't even drink during the show. HECFI, you guys continue to suck at organizing anything.

    - I enjoyed the set and loved seeing Immortality, Nothingman and Brain of J!

    - To anyone who disagrees with me about the crowd being lame, all you need to do was look around during "Alive" and half the people had no clue about the fist pumping. Too many overnight fans.

    - All in all, this show comes nowhere close to Hamilton 2005. Mark my words, PJ will never play in Hamilton again. Never.

    - A huge Thank you to the Toronto and Wisconsin crowds, you guys were awesome. Again, to PJ, Management and the road crew, I apologize for Hamilton being lame tonight.

Sorry, one more thing: Ed's line during given to fly: "Made it to the Hammer, had a smoke in a tree"... awesome, but the crowd didn't respond well. Listen to the boot when it comes out.

Also I loved the Ramones tributes and speeches tonight... very cool. Thank you Eddie for trying your hardest during the first set.

So, so wrong. When (not if) Pearl Jam returns to the Hammer, kindly stay at home so someone else can go and actually enjoy the show.
