So . . . who's watching? And who are you cheering for?

Cheering for Canada of course; but also for New Zealand (for sentimental reasons)

Btw, really enjoyed the opening ceremony. Great Job NZ   Really looking forward to watching the tournament (even if the games start at zero-dark-stupid here ;)

Up the wallabies. I've bought a jersey and the Aussies kick off tomorrow against the Italians.

It's hard as hell to see any matches here in The States. At least NBC will be showing a few.

We're lucky here, both TSN2 and/or TSN will be broadcasting all of the game

Yeah, they'll get smoked(the US). If they can beat both Russia and Italy then that's a strong showing, and I'd be happy.

Kinda obvious who I'll be supporting. The whole country is in party mode and the excitment is pulsing. My husband was glued to the TV all weekend - watching all of the games.

I've been dvr'ing them and then trying to avoid all sports news till I watch them.

I thought the opening ceremonies were very well done. The AB haka was freakin' awesome. Gave me the chills  It was definitely more intimidating than the Tongan sipi tau :D

Well done Canada - those Tongans are hard men.

I don't think there are any "easy" pools - possibly pool B, only because there are no Tri Nations teams.

I agree with Tinkerbell; there really aren't any easy pools. I hope that Canada does well enough to at least finish third so they can qualify for the 2015 RWC. That is of course if they don't qualify for for the quarter-finals :D Lot's heart on the team and a fair bit of confidence in themselves :D

Well, that was a handy blow-out by the ABs over Japan. The team seems on fire and well-disciplined. Enjoying

A friend pointed out something to me last night about Sonny Bill Williams's hair.....
Back in league he had the street thug style.
Now that he's a union player he has a professional style.

im pretty hyper from 2 cups of coffee as well as the adrenalin, the defence and the pack where awesome.

the scrum and the lineout are the two most important facets of the game, also blows the world cup right open, south africa austraila and new zealand in the same side of the draw.

its going to be absolutly fascinating

forwards win games, backs decide by how much

i think it's kind of bogus to have the two tiers in this tournament ... i mean giving the better ranked teams an advantage totally dispels the notion of having this tournament ... i don't know if canada could have beaten france but having to play them on 3 days rest vs. the week france had is just not really fair ... i can't think of any world cup type tournament that gives such a distinct advantage ...

    WOO HOO IRELAND!!! :D

Goes to show that there aren't as many certainties as we all thought. The All Blacks face France this week, our arch enemies in the World Cup, I hope the AB's kick some French ass. Well done to Wales too :)
