Help! How to get my posters home?

I got a bit carried away at PJ20 with all the poster artists being there. I have multiple poster tubes and UPS was insanely expensive to ship today. Thought I could find something in downtown Milwaukee to ship but forgot it is Labor Day so UPS/Fed Ex probably not open. Actually, the UPS guy planted that in my head that it would be super easy to find a UPS location to ship which is why I didn't even think twice! Ugh.

Anyone know if I can tape a few tubes together and bring as carry on? Or if I tape them together and check as luggage will they survive or should that just not be attempted?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

cant you tape them together and carry them on or just check them? maybe even buy a duffle bag (like a hockey equiptment bag) and just put them in there and check them? i know these ideas are expensive so i am sorry for trying to problem solve for you with an unlimited budget!

You seriously can't figure this out on your own?

Always better to get advice from people who may have had the same issue before. If you can't help, don't answer.

Jesus. Roll all the posters together and put them in one tube. This cuts down on volume and actually makes sure the edges don't get dented. Secure the ends. Give it to the hotel to UPS/fed ex on Tuesday. Pay extra for the insurance if you are that worried. And I'm spent.

And tip the person you give it to at the hotel. Very important.

    whoooahhhh, no need

Su's just looking for a little good advice....no harm in that right?

Shes also a real nice person, and very quick to help others

Su - tape them together and carry them on.

Re putting them in one tube, we all know putting more than 3 in a tube can cause mass problems, damage prints, and sometimes lock out a poster in the tube making it hard to remove without edge creasing. Plus I heard the tubes at Pj20 were very thin meaning even two to a tube was hard work.
