8:00am: Squad meeting/discussed attempting to pick up Jessie Misskelley Jr in reference to his being a member of cult that Damien Echols and Jason Baldwin are said to be members of. Check possibility of his being a witness to homicide or any statements he may have overheard from Damien or anyone concerning the homicide.
9:13am: Detective Sgt. Mike Allen checked into service.
Detective Allen went to the residence of Jessie Misskelley Jr. to attempt to make contact. Contacted the female who was at the residence who informed that Jessie Jr was not at the residence. She informed Allen that he could go to Jim’s Diesel Repair and meet with Jessie Misskelley Sr.
9:45am: Allen went to Jim’s repair and met with Jessie Sr who went and picked up Jessie Misskelley Jr. Jessie Misskelley Jr then went with Detective Sgt Allen to the West Memphis Police Department.
10:00am: Detective Sgt Allen filled out the subject description form and the interview began with the questions or any knowledge he had of the homicide and his whereabouts on the day of the homicide.
11:00am: Detective Sgt Allen read Jessie Misskelley Jr his rights according to the Miranda Rule with Detective Ridge being a witness to the procedure. It was determined that it would be necessary for Misskelley Sr to sign a consent to allow Jessie Jr. to submit to a polygraph examination.
11:15am: Detective Sgt Allen went with Jessie Misskelley Jr to find his father to obtain consent to take a polygraph examination. Sgt. Allen had Jessie riding as a unsecured passenger in the front seat at which time he met Jessie at or near Missouri Street and Shopping Way. Sgt. Allen met with Jessie Misskelley Sr at Chief's Auto Parts where he explained the upcoming procedure and obtained a written consent for Jessie Misskelley Jr to take a polygraph examination.
11:30am: Jessie Misskelley Jr was read his rights according to the Miranda Rule by Bill Durham prior to his administering a polygraph examination.

11:55am: First chart was completed during polygraph examination.
12:03pm: Second chart completed during polygraph examination
12:11pm: Third chart completed during polygraph examination. After the test about 15 minutes were spent in the post test interview.
12:30pm: Bill Durham advised detective ridge, Inspector Gitchell, and Sgt Mike Allen that Jessie Misskelley Jr was being deceptive in his responses to the relevant questions asked during the polygraph examination.
12:40pm: It was decided that detective ridge and Inspector Gitchell would continue the interview.
2:20pm: Jessie states to Inspector Gitchell that he was present when the three boys were killed. Preparations were begun to tape the rest of the interrogation when it was determined that Jessie was a direct witness or a participant of the homicide.
2:44pm: The taped confession began with Jessie Misskelley Jr being questioned by Detective Ridge and Inspector Gitchell.
3:18pm: The taped confession was completed. Work was started in reference to obtaining search warrants and arrest warrants for the persons named as participants in the homicide.
3:22pm: Jessie Jr offered food which he declined and was given two cigarettes.
[the word "incorrect" is written in margin] 3:45pm Inspector Gitchell conducted a second interview with Jessie Misskelley Jr to clear up some discrepancies concerning time and events in the first interview.
5:05pm: Jessie Jr asked if he wanted any food to eat.
6:15pm: Jessie Jr was fed.
6:30pm: Jessie Jr was asked if he want to relieve himself.
9:06pm: Ridge, Gitchell, Fogelman present for a probable cause hearing with Judge P Rainey presiding.
9:14pm: Testimony was given concerning the probable cause for the search warrants and arrest warrants for those involved in the homicide.
Any sort of interrogation was over by 5pm. If my math is correct 10am to 5pm is 7 hours. Taped confession was complete by 3:18 pm.
I see alot of people post about Eddie being some sort of expert on this case, and many people saying they trust his judgement.
Any reason why he would lie, and why do you continue to support him on this case?

I though PJ/Eddie were for the Truth...
Godfather.
I have seen multiple versions of what happened. It is highly disputed all over the web.
I don't think anything written by E.V. would constitute a lie.
As it goes in politics people glob onto their version of the truth. Just like in politics these truths are often blurred, but it doesn't mean that the author or regurgitator doesn't believe these things strongly.
Let us dwell on a few paragraphs written by "Ed" based on a giant case that has everyone confused as to what happened, how it happened, when it happened, who was involved, and who mishandled evidence, botched the investigation, was pressured into a sloppy witch hunt, etc.
Or Not.
Guilty or not they were not given a fair trial IMO.
I think that is what this all comes down to.
Eddie feels strongly in this so he expresses himself as such.
I respect that stance.
Just get up go to work and live your life. Relax.
Why not present the information truthfully and let people make up their own minds?
If this quote was from a politician people would be all over it, but since its Eddie, everyone is being defensive about it.
I don't understand, do people want the truth, or do they just want to agree with who they support?
PJ has been a big influence/part of my life, and my favorite band.
One of that reasons is their stance (especially Eddie's) on truth.
I don't agree with them on everything (political) but I respect it.
But to be as influential as Eddie is and write something to your fans that is not true is saddening.
Why not let your fan base make up with own minds and present the information without twisting it?
Godfather.
So you think Eddie Vedder would risk his career and reputation based on a gut feeling? Not to mention the insult to the families of the three murdered boys?
This place never ceases to amaze me.
If I say I'm going to meet you at 5pm and I don't show up until 5:30 I'm not lying. I'm relaying information I thought to be true.
That is what I'm saying. In the 'Two of the West Memphis Three to be released' other posters dispute that time frame.
I'm not disputing it, I don't know, I'm just saying E.V. seems to have stated a different version of that time line.
Since those investigators (who wrote the above timeline) seem to have come under scrutiny, and the entire case is under scrutiny, I don't think it is a lie to believe in a different truth than you have written.
If that timeline as stated by you is off by a few minutes, IS THAT A LIE?
wow Bro tha's kind of a personal question.......I have once or twice..
Godfather.
The only person who's been lying about the case here on this message board is you.
he already has man...read the doc's Bro.
Godfather.
He was in police custody for at least eleven hours the day of the first so-called 'confession'.
So this makes Ed Vedder a liar?
Pathetic.
I already have.
So where's your smoking gun?
AND he was not interrogated after 5pm.
I have to,i'm not ashamed, sometimes you don't get away with it, especailly when your driving a Golf Cart and there in a Cop car, but i wondered if Blockhead as had any experiance on the other side of the fence.
Jesse maintained his guilt for months to his own attornies after his arrest, and confessed twice more after his conviction.
Thats about as smoking gun as evidence gets...
Also, letter has already been sent to the fan club.
I am not expecting a response.
How do you know what went on in the time between such things as him being given a cigarette [3:22pm] and being given some food to eat [6:15pm]? How do you know what went on in the time between him being asked if he wanted to relieve himself [6:30pm] and his giving testimony [9:14pm]?
You don't.
You don't know shit.
All of the evidence points to the so-called 'confessions' as having been false confessions - based on intimidation and coercion.
Everyone of the points you've raised regarding this case has been conjecture.
You have NO EVIDENCE.
You have also lied on numerous occasions in the other thread and tried to muddy the water with selective use of the facts.
And yet you have the audacity to start yet another thread accusing Ed Vedder of being a liar?
Sorry pal, but I cannot take anything you say seriously anymore.
You could nic pick the facts of this case for months, and just like everyone involved in the case, still be wrong. The bottomline is this, EV doesn’t have to justify or apologize to anyone for the causes he chose to support. He has never barred anyone from his concerts based on his personal beliefs. You were always free to choose. Let it go!!!
It was the court documented time line, I think if it was false the defense would have went after it...
I havent taken you seriously... You just posted that they did the luminol test "some two weeks after" when it was 5 days after...
I don't care what he supports, just as long as he dosent use lies to influence his followers...
The confessions were false confessions.
He then recanted them one month later and has recanted them ever since, claiming they were made after hours of sustained police intimidation and coercion. This was carried out with someone with an I.Q of 72.
Also, the so-called 'confessions' were full of inaccuracies that directly contradicted the evidence at the crime scene and the time of the murders.
But then you already know all this, and you don't care. Because you have no real interest in the justice of this case at all.
There is NO smoking gun.
The last confession jessie made, his lawyer Stidham did not want him to do. In that confession Jessie says that he tried to confuse the police by saying rope instead of shoestrings. Also Jessie claimed he left early and said he went to drink a bottle of booze and threw it down, explain why his attorney went a year after the crime to look for the broken bottle? If he thought Jessie was lying and just making up this last confession why did he even bother to go looking for it.
Can you offer an explaination as to why an innocent Misskelly would continue to tell his own attorney he was present and participated in the murders long after he was no longer in the custody of his interrogators?
