So I have to give this really big presentation...

One of the company leaders just stopped by to tell me he's looking forward to it, and that 9/19/11 is "International Talk Like A Pirate Day."

Which is apparently taken quite seriously here.

(Have I mentioned how much I love my new-ish job?)

And yes, I am totally going to dress like a pirate that day.

    That's pretty outstanding... if I tried that at my job I think they'd all pass out. Of course they always get my name wrong so if they went after me some other poor soul would feel the brunt of it.

    Regardless -- if you do it you have to post a photo. It's only fair. :)

    Get proof that it's actually true--and that its taken seriously--before you go getting dressed up......

    And do you have a Facebook acct? You can change the language setting to English Pirate. Try it out! You'll learn everything you need to know for your big day. ;)

    Such as... sometimes an awkward moment can be painful, but you can turn that frown upside down! Look at how Peter Brady suffered when his voice broke, but he made the best of it and look where it got him! *beaming smile*

    tis true...i also learned from the brady's that 6 kids can live together with one bathroom and no toilet...now that's making the best of it!
