You've used the term Kenyan Marxist several times, can you please explain that? How is he a kenyan marxist exactly?
You ask questions. I answer them.
I ask you questions. You ignore them.
No, thanks.
Which questions have you asked me? I'd be happy to answer them.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
you are on one hand saying he isn't solely to blame but then say he would lose to a sock because of the economic indicators ... so, you are basically saying that people will vote against him even tho it isn't solely his fault ...
i'm no fan of obama ... you will see that many on the left actually aren't but the difference is they recognize that the failures aren't at the feet of the president and that bringing in a guy like rick perry is gonna make things even worse ...
Sorry, but I get tired of typing the same thing over and over. It's annoying.
I don't see any inconsistency in what you are implying there. Yes, this is not all Obama's fault. But, yes, he will be ousted because he will be blamed. The thing I'm trying to get across to you, and others, is he is President. The "buck stops there" so to speak. It may not be all of his fault, but like a QB or Headcoach in football, he'll be blamed. Like a CEO of a poorly run company, he'll be blamed by the stockholders. In this case, the President will be blamed.
The fact that you and others on here don't get that (or try to brush it off), shows a complete ideologically-driven disconnect with reality.
And we were downgraded because there was and is no concrete plan to get out of debt.
lots of companies carry debt and have no desire to get out of debt, yet they have a solid rating.

lots of companies don't have debt that is fast approaching 100% of their gross revenue and assets. If they do, I can guarantee they don't have a solid credit rating. Debt to income ratio is an important factor in determining credit worthiness

Shocking isn't it. To think, a Kenyan AND a Marxist in one!!
this is about the 11 millionth time you've referred to Obama as a Kenyan Marxist. Care to explain why you think that? just curious.
Sure, he's a Kenyan and a Marxist.
you're good.
Its gonna get easy to point out that you don't know what you're talking about, or identifying the fact that you like to stir the pot.. we'll see.
I guess we'll just go with stir the pot for now, but be careful, you might actually start believing this crap if you keep it up!

As for the kenyan thing, anyone who believes that, after the overwhelming evidence, has to be delusional.

This is the type of fairy-land ideology that I'm talking about. Not all CEOs live like the few you read about in your liberal newspapers. Do you know anyone who actually likes their CEO? I know plenty. Sure, there are a few that are pigs. But, not all. Regardless, I know you like to change the subject, but the point was...

just the first company that popped into my head.
do they have a top rating? Also, AA+ i don't think would be considered bad would it? just not the top.
those exact figures just popped into your head? You must be an accountant
Also if your total assests outweighs your total liability you are going pretty well. But that clearly isn't the case with the US government. Their total revenue is coming in under their total liabilities.
To make a more realistic comparison, lets say that GE has an operating loss for 30 years, lets say it is in the realm of spending 33% more every year than they take in. Do you think their credit worthiness would remain high? Seems to me that is more a likely example than simply listing assets vs debts... But what you showed me seems to me that GE has an operating profit every year...that would be like the government posting a surplus budget...instead they are posting a deficit and have been for some time.
I could be wrong, balance sheets are out of my area of expertise...I only have an okay idea of accounting practices like carrying long term debt and depreciation of current assets

I'm the delusional kool-aid drinker? 45 to 39 are actual numbers, not some subjective opinion guided by my beliefs that Obama is the worst president ever. It seems like you're wishing that the economy doesn't improve just to lower Obama's chances. You may not claim tea-person status, but you sure talk like one.
Yes, you appear to be.
What I'm saying to you is this:
Regardless, if it's Obama's fault or not... he is President right now and our economy has an unemployment rate above 9% right now. He started his term saying it would not go above 8% provided we had the stimulus plan. Now his own economic advisers, who recommended that same stimulus (and the other ones), are saying it won't go below 8.5% before the 2012 election: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/economist-who-said-unemployment-wouldn-t
That's four years later, man... four years. I'm not asking you to stop drinking your man's kool-aid, I'm asking you to be realistic. There's never been a President since 1930 to win with re-election with unemployment above 7.2%. By his own economists projections, he will be a full percentage point and a half greater than that by the time of the election.
Like I said, outside of a miracle, he's got NO chance.
I'm not saying he's going to win. He could win or lose, I think it's interesting how people project their own perceptions on to an entire voting bloc. You said people will blame him for the economy; some will, some wont. The opposition will, of course, because you try to discredit your opponent in an election. The only group's perception that matters is middle-of-the-road voters in swing states.
As it is right now, people are blaming congress more than Obama.
Nowhere have I indicated that Obama is my man, he's too centrist for me.
i have never said obama hasn't failed or that he isn't going to be blamed ... my primary point in this thread in this thread is that based on the electoral system - he only has to win a few states to get re-elected and if the republicans throw out bachmann or perry - it'll be more than possible ... and i don't say that as someone who is drinking anyone's kool aid ... it's just a simple fact ... and that should be the reality you see as well ...

I would rather not start a thread on the Birth Certificate forgery Kat. I think that would be too inflammatory for the Train, don't you?
But you are telling me that I cannot call the President something that you, or others, don't like? This is shaky ground, considering the things that you allow other members to say about Bush, Perry, Palin, Bachmann, etc.
Is that the new Posting Guideline? Don't call our President something that "pisses people off?"
I am discussing the issues, and the term Kenyan refers to the place I, and millions of others believe he was born. Marxist refers to his economic policies.
Could you please tell me which rule I have broken here?
And if you insist on this course, could you please start a thread to inform ALL members about this policy? That, I think, would be fair to all and apply to all, and I would certainly adhere to such a policy.

Second, not every story goes exactly like yours. So, don't try to have the world live through your eye.

If I have an opportunity to vote for Ron Paul, yes I will vote for Ron Paul unless someone comes out of no where that appeals to me more.
I don't think he wants the status quo, but I also think he's smart enough to understand that he couldn't win much of anything, even shifting ideas, by running away from the status quo. He's stood strong with his political party and tried to change the party from within. Which to me is impressive.
Yes, just like he's made moves within his own party on troubling issues, I think he could do so elsewhere.
i don't see anyone on the gop side winning the popular vote. even karl rove is saying that the party has gone too far to the right to win a general election.

Mike, you seem fairly resonable in your posts, and some of what you say here is true. But I don't post just to piss people off. I believe that Obama was born in Kenya. His economic policies are truly Marxist in my opinion. My facts are dismissed because some people don't like my positions.
The fact is, my opinions, and my opinions alone are being dismissed as "trolling", b/c some people disagree so strongly. This is the exact opposite of debate. This is censorship. I will post a thread tomorrow regarding the topic, if I'm not banned first- simply because I believe this President is not born in this country.
Every GOP candidate that is currently running for President is running on a fragment base. The GOP doesn’t have a single candidate in the field that has been able to pull all the GOP interests even close to closing ranks. Even clean cut Huntsman blew it with his China and Iran connections, not to mention that whole so called unimportant Mormon religion. So, until the GOP can produce that unknown candidate that can pull them together, you can’t even begin to count out President Obama’s bid for re election.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

Agreed, I don't really understand how people are so confident Obama is going to be beaten with the current crop of contenders. Perry and Romney have to be the front runners and there is no way Bush on steroids is going to win the election.
Obama hasn't been all he is cracked up to be but the GOP is as far right as it has ever been and there is no shot that what they have out there now is winning.
I believe that Obama was born in Kenya. His economic policies are truly Marxist in my opinion.
And this is your opinion. All right. But believing that a president is a bad one (whoever it is: Bush/Obama) is one thing.
You can disagree with reforms, with the way your country is leaded... it's OK.
But "Kenyan"... it sounds more like an urban legend. You can't say he's Kenyan because you believe so. It's total defamation.
Besides... "marxist"? I can't believe this!!! He doesn't rule the country like USSR used to be ruled. As I said before, he's even far from even being a socialist

Nowhere have I indicated that Obama is my man, he's too centrist for me.
again - i know you want to pigeon hole me as some liberal who believes in x, y and z but all you are doing is applying a perception that is taking away from you getting my point ... but so be it ... if you want to peg me as a die-hard obama fan who believes whatever liberal newspapers feed me - go for it ... even tho i pretty much wrote in the ron paul media thread that the media sucks in the US ...
it's not reality ... i work for a corporation where our ceo basically put us in bankruptcy protection and yeah - he was eventually replaced but that was because he was given a huge buyout and he still kept his office and perks even tho he wasn't the ceo for like 7 years after ...
you are voting for ron paul are you not? ... do you think he wants the status quo? ... do you think he can function with a dysfunctional congress?
Thank You.

You are liberal though, so I'm not pigeon-holing you at all. I understand that you may not be die-hard Obama, but you certainly like him enough to defend him consistently in here. Moreover, you constantly are against the opposition to him. So, yeh, you're liberal and have supported Obama frequently, and rarely if ever took the side or a Republican candidate.
First, you proved my point. It doesn't necessarily matter how they're replaced. If the company doesn't do well, they get canned.
Second, not every story goes exactly like yours. So, don't try to have the world live through your eye.
Third, guess what? You work for a corporation. Why don't you be real to your anti-corporate roots and not work for one? Go work for the government, for instance.

If you want to have a good debate on the subject, I'm all for it, but that would derail this thread.
Tomorrow I will start the appropriate thread- but I doubt my account will last that long.
Think I've touched a sensitive nerve somewhere in Seattle....
ooooohhh, you have important internet links! I was expecting something more when you said:
I don't think its about whether or not it "pisses people off". it never pissed me off, I knew it was just propaganda, but I was always curious why you thought these things.
I sincerely look forward to that thread tomorrow that I assume you hope we will forget about.
i suppose if you weren't simply saying it to piss people off it would be one thing. Your intentions are pretty clear...fake indignation, constantly posting the same nonsense. I would love for you to simply just be normal and debate topics with substance, but it doesn't seem like you are interested...too bad, you might actually have good things to say, but when they are mixed in with hyperbole and stupid statements clearly aimed at trolling rather than adding to a debate, they won't ever be read.

ok ... you've basically accused me of multiple things that are nowhere close to being true ... i could sit here and type out a defense but really ... why bother if you aren't willing to listen!?
all i will say is this ... the best part of this forum is the ability to post your opinion and hear others ... listening to where people are coming from is the best thing you can do for yourself ... i'm not going to say that i'm the best at it ... but i try ...
btw - i enjoy some of your youtube stuff ... keep it up ...
