you have me on the list already (thanks!)...i'll be there both nights. i have to work though...how long will the party go before heading over to the venue?

also, i have a Vic poster (the brown one) to donate and i'm sure i can find some other things around my apt. i'll keep you posted!

this will be my first pre-party! i officially don't know anyone in person, and only a few online :)
it's funny when things change so much, it's all state of mind...

And with my 5000th post
I wish to thank ALL of you from all over the world who so graciously and selflessly support our efforts to make the world we all live in a better place by donating your time, talent, possessions, money, whatever. Every little bit helps. Whether its the donation of a rare memoribilia item or the purchase of a single raffle ticket or just spreading the word about our gatherings.... it all means so much to me personally.
    I cannot thank you enough
and thanks to the band that brings us all together...Pearl Jam for giving us the music we all share and the opportunity to hear it live time and time again
affording us the chance to host these gatherings.
    [/end sappy diatribe :p]

with all seriousness, thank you Pearl Jam and thank you Pearl Jam fans
    peace and luv,
    jeannette

How far exactly is The cutting room from MSG?
The Cutting Room is on 24th about a block and a half off of 7th (towards broadway). MSG is on 7th and 33rd.
So, to answer your question maybe 6-7 blocks. Definitely walking distance
I'm not from NY so I cant be more specific but it seems really close looking on mapquest.

It's actually closer to ten blocks. But less than a 15 minute walk (at a New Yorker's pace!)

I was shutout of the 10C presale, but I hope to get tickets next Friday. If I get tickets, I will be there with a friend who has never seen PJ live. So hopefully you can add the virgin and I to the list.

I will be there with my buddy. We got nosebleed seats from ticketmaster, but at least we will be in the garden.

if ed has endorsed rational animal in the past, sounds cool to me.....perhaps they have a NY chapter? no idea. either way, cool. or, a local NYC-based animal shelter, whatever...it's all good.

    A few suggestions:
    ASPCA
    North Shore Animal League
Animal Care & Control of NYC
    Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition

    those are all quality organizations...

is there a way to find out how much $$ each organization raises in a year - maybe we could support one that could really use the extra $$.

How late will this go on both days Janette? Anybody know when the 10C tickets will be available to pick up? I was hoping to do some morning sight seeing and roll over to the pre-parties or venue around 3 PM. Kinda trying to figure out when everything takes place.

    WHEW!!!!
i'm finally back from LA and so happy to see the replies and suggestions!!!!

We're looking into a local NY Animal Rescue group to benefit from Night 1 and perhaps either animal rescue or American Cancer Society for night 2.

The parties will run until about 6pm each night. We will try to hold the raffles at around 5-530 so anyone wishing to go to the venue to see the opener or get posters or whatnot can do it all. people are always free to come and go adn i'm pretty sure there isnt a cover charge, waiting to hear back from the cutting room on that one.
if there IS any kind of cover, the venues usually donate most if not all of directly to the benificiary of the party...at least that's been our experience in the past.

I dont know what time the 10c window will open, in the past I think it was around 3pm

i think i've covered all the posts i missed. I'll update teh rsvp list later today
PM me or post here if you have any other questions, concerns, suggestion

    peace,
    jeannette
