seriously this is the FIRST true, pre-party meet-up in NYC proper, i am sooo looking forward to it. when pj last played MSG in 2003, my 2nd and 3rd shows ever, respectively....i didn't even post on the board ...and knew no one. so, needless to say, we had a blast at the shows, and then went home. REALLY looking forward to this especially!

I was thinking about an animal rescue organization as a beneficiary, too.
Do you (or does anyone) remember the animal rescue organization from MSG 2003 that Mike wore the t-shirt and the t-shirts were available for sale?
Maybe them?

I personally think Rational Animal would be an good beneficiary or maybe one of their "friends" shelters or rescue facilites

but tentatively I'd like to attend the Wednesday night (6/25) based on what time it is
the Cutting Room is a great spot
can some donations also be made to Crohns/Colitis Foundation or to a organization that benefits cancer research?

but i'm still not sure if i'm going to be working the days of the shows. if i have to work, i'll drop off my donation on my lunch break and hopefully pick up my 10c tix. and if i do have to work, i'll really only have time to get to the garden by the time i get out.

i would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see an animal-related charity be beneficiary. i don't think? any *pre-parties thus far ever have done so. it would be AWESOME! if ed has endorsed rational animal in the past, sounbds cool to me.....perhaps they have a NY chapter? no idea. either way, cool. or, a local NYC-based animal shelter, whatever...it's all good.

it would be fantastic if 100% of funds raised went directly to the charity chosen.


*edit - one more thing:D - is there ANY way possible to offer up the "speedy" Ts at any/all of the pre-parties? i have told hubby about it often enough...he thinks it's hysterical and i KNOW he would LOVE to buy one! grazie!

Santa Barbara Preparty is doing 50% PETA 50% WM3.

I like the idea of a local ASPCA or something else similar for NYC as being the charity. I'm not running it, so not my call.....

Yes, 100% proceeds will go to the charity (or charities) designated.

and i too ain't in charge of shite ...and not tryin' to be. just throwing in my 2...4....6 cents and so on. that said, i would like to see a charity that hasn't gotten ANY love from us yet, benefit. so yes, keep it local...preferably animal-related...although i'm all for feeding the homeless too.
