I was 20 and worked at the SPAC Lollapalooza show... Eddie was mudsliding down the lawn during the torrential downpours. :)

Took me 18 more years to see PJ again (only because my 14 y/o daughter was such a huge fan) but I'm making up for the gap in between that August '92 show and MSG1 last year... see y'all in Montreal in a month+. :D

This thread makes me wish I could look at a pie chart or bar graph that would give me a good idea of the age demographic that makes up the PJ fanbase. Really, really curious to see which group makes up the biggest piece of the pie.

I was 16 and they were supporting Neil Young at Finsbury Park in London, July 93.

I missed out on the Brixton Academy shows a few days later because I wouldn't be able to get back to Wales afterwards!

It shouldn't be a pie chart it should be a bar graph with ages and year ranges in 2 year increments.

18- tried to get tix to the Yield tour in Dallas, but had so settle for the Binaural tour. Dallas Yield tour sold out. I begged and begged, and begged, the radio station here for tix. They had a contest where they were bussing a bunch of fans up there. 8-) I would love to to just get on a bus, with a bunch of pj fans, and go to a couple of shows. Maybe one day. 8-). The Binaural tour was great though. awesome set for a band that hadn't been to Houston in 8 or 9 years.

  • It was 1991 I was 29 working in Ann Arbor, Michigan when a co-worker wanted to walk around downtown one night. I heard 'ALIVE' playing and said I love this song lets go in this bar (The Blind Pig)
they had a cover charge because of the live band and I said "no fucking way Pearl Jam is playing here"
the door man let my friend and I go in free because the show was half over & we had to stand on some chairs in the back row. after 'Alive' they played 'Black' then 'Jeremy' - I've loved this band & it's fans ever since. now my whole family and my best friends are big Pearl Jammers. I have taken my nephews to their first shows at age 10, 14, & 16 and they loved it and now have alot of their friends into them! Mike has thrown guitar picks to them and Eddie has even pointed to the little one who was singing & dancing wearing a 'Avocado' shirt and said "that's awesome"
