When I clicked through looked like the presale is for the Live Nation App :?
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

Maybe it wont be so easy for scalpers, and general onsales wont be as bad as usual.
How would that even work for a scalper, unless they were planning on going themselves, and walking in w/ the 3 people they ripped off?

Good on Radiohead for trying to put a stop to scalpers. More bands should do this.
On another note...get to the box office early. I imagine that line will be looooong!

    Edit:
Ok. Maybe the box office line wont be long (i think only waste presale tix will be will call, not TM tix)

Supposedly for other shows on this tour Radiohead had a policy for both people in the party to put the wristband on as soon as you get your tickets to stop people from taking them and selling them after they leave the window. A pretty good policy actually. Not sure if it will be done in the US though.

i have ticketmaster for tommorrow night....the first two sections on each side are paperless....gotta show CC and ID and the entire party has to enter at the same time. if you look on stubhub, there isn't a single ticket in the GA or first few sections for sale.

edit...there is a pair on the floor for 300 each....

still, i think they do a great job of stopping hte flipping for the good seats..be nice if other bands did this

that makes sense. the middle front section are probably from the waste presale and are will call tix. the guy selling 2 - probably got 4 in the presale and plans on entering w/ his scalpees. (Assuming they didnt require you to name all four people who would be the ones attending).

I like what they are doing too. But I do think that its hard for many people to actually know exactly who they are bringing w/ them when they buy tix to a show. And even if they did, shit happens all the time. Gotta find a last minute replacement, and then what? You eat that extra ticket and go alone anyways?

Im interested to see how it all works out in terms of getting into the venue, the credit card/id hold up and the lines for entrance as well as the sorry saps who need to substitute the people they bring with them. Luckily, I had already planned on taking the day that they are playing in Mansfield off, so I'll be up there nice and early to get my tix and tailgate. :D

I didn't have to mention who I was taking. However if you look at my previous post, at other shows on this tour they require all members of your party to be present and to all put the wristbands on right there so that people couldn't take the tickets and wristbands and sell them in the parking lot.

I had paperless tickets in GA and they scanned my CC at the door, printed out small tickets from their portable printer, and everyone in my party had to go to a table inside the venue (but close to the doors) to redeem the tickets for wristbands.

it said that the waste tickets today are all will call in the fine print. if you go to tm or live nation, it says paperless.

this is how atoms for peace was, waste got physical tickets and then the general on sale was paperless, looks like that is how this will be. roseland was will call too.

i have a friend going to the show in Colorado next week and he got his waste tickets mailed.

seems like they change it up each time. 06 was will call, 08 they mailed, atoms for peace was paperless, and this tour seems to be a combination of all three methods.

i figured you would have that answer :P

how many peope do you suppose can fit on the floor.

i'd guess ~4,000 tickets for a stadium show. UC holds about 400 per lower level section. first 2 sections on each side would be ~1600. i'm guessing 50 people across by 60 rows deep on the floor??? that'd be 3K people

    pure guessing

Pearl Jam gets anywhere from 12-20%. Do you thik Radiohead with a free website gets that many too? I'm not sure. Camden has around 9,000 seats under the pavillion and I think 37,000 with the lawn. So 10% would get them to around 1/3 of the pavillion and 20% would get them almost the whole pavilion.

it wasnt just floor for all the venues
for mansfield, you could choose pit, Sec 2, Sec 1 or 3, or Sec 5, 6 or 7.
    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNtezeegGXaktGpAcGokyeBS2pNkBrvfaTTDlFCIexaxwB2ANF
Pit would be a small section in front of section 2
I was assuming, for Sec. 1 & 3, they'd only give out the more close to center seats. They wouldnt put fan club all the way to one side.

So, there are a lot of tix that could have gone.
If I had to guess, i'd say 10%-20% of each venue.
Mansfield holds about 20k total. 7k covered, 7k uncovered, rest is lawn
Im pretty sure some of my fan club tix for PJ have been as far back as mid-to back of Sec. 6 area. That section of seats is the end of the covered seating. Secs. 15, etc. are all uncovered, open air.
So, PJ gets a pretty good allotment for their fanclub.

i was guessing at a stadium show...and included the floor and first two lower level wings on each side.

i'd guess 3K for an outdoor show and 4.5K for a stadium show.

I keep forgetting they're playing both amphitheaters and arenas this tour.
Ive never seen RH in an arena. That could be interesting.
I really want to know how Amazing Sounds of Orgy sounded the other night. that bass musta been crazy in an arena!!

Im still holding out hope they add another night in Boston.
Memorial Day, May 28 would be fantastic!! 8-)
I'd be all for going to Boston proper to the Gahden to see them too. Or another night in the fresh outdoors would be fine too.

    Greedy much?

it said that the waste tickets today are all will call in the fine print. if you go to tm or live nation, it says paperless.

My tickets were through TM. While I was waiting in line I did hear a fan yell out "For WASTE go to Box Office."

Supposedly for other shows on this tour Radiohead had a policy for both people in the party to put the wristband on as soon as you get your tickets to stop people from taking them and selling them after they leave the window. A pretty good policy actually. Not sure if it will be done in the US though.

I had paperless tickets in GA and they scanned my CC at the door, printed out small tickets from their portable printer, and everyone in my party had to go to a table inside the venue (but close to the doors) to redeem the tickets for wristbands.

what were wait times like....thanks in advance.

I didn't have WASTE tickets so I never went to the Box Office, but I got there around 15 minutes before the doors opened and it took me around 25-30 minutes from the time the doors opened to get in. The initial line was pretty long and almost wrapped to the other side of the arena, but they eventually started some other lines that were really short, however most of the people in that long line weren't aware of it. Luckily I went to go check what was going on and got in early enough to get a good spot on the floor. Also, most of the people in line didn't have GA but showed up early anyway.

The delay seemed to be with door staff (at least in my line) not being too familiar with the paperless ticket system and taking a long time to print and tear off the tickets. I probably could have gotten in a good 10 minutes earlier had I chosen a different line.

My bad on the Camden capacity. I guess I did have Alpine on my mind.

So I guess we can guestimate that the pre-sale was probably just under half of the seated area then around 3500 seats.

Thats great news for people who scored them and also for people who didn't knowing there are still seats available for the public sale.

    Good luck to everyone!!

So who is going/trying to go to Camden? Hopefully I will see you all there!!

That sux. Just make the trek to Camden. I'm sure you will get a ticket. Even if it's lawn(and it's easy to get on the rail at Camden) it's a great view.

Being on a Sunday (I work 7 days a week, but half-day on sunday) and just 2 hours away, it would be less expensive to pay a scalper and get them for dc than travel, hotel, missed work, etc... all for camden.
