Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London, it has been reported.

The Back To Black singer was apparently found at the property at around 4pm this afternoon and her death is believed to be treated as 'unexplained' by police.

It is thought her father Mitch has yet to find out about his daughter's untimely passing, as he is currently on his way to America to perform at a jazz festival.

I never heard one song of hers. If I have I didn't know it. Every time I heard something about her it was something to do with drugs.

She should have gone to rehab..

Ok, maybe that was insensitive, but did anyone not see this coming?

    Sad story.

    Sad story.

    Definitely insensitive....

I don't see how anyone could not have seen this coming, even her mother said this a while back (posted it in another Winehouse thread):

'I've known for a long time that my daughter has problems. But seeing it on screen rammed it home. I realise my daughter could be dead within the year. We're watching her kill herself, slowly.

'I've already come to terms with her dead. I've steeled myself to ask her what ground she wants to be buried in, which cemetery. Because the drugs will get her if she stays on this road.

'I look at Heath Ledger and Britney. She's on their path. It's like watching a car crash - this person throwing all these gifts away.'

I think her father is currently on an airplane overseas, if I had to make a guess. Internet moves faster than planes.

I do have some of her music and I liked her singing - bluesy soul. She had talent, as opposed to a lot of these total untalents out there.

She could belt out a tune. Great singer. An example of drugs ruining a talent, yet I think the problems goes beyond just drugs, she clearly must have had major issues.

Kind of reminds me of a short story by Stephen King called "You Know They've Got a Helluva Band"... It's definitely weird how many musicians die at that age.

ya know i was gonna say something funny but i'm reminded of a cousin of mine who is no longer in the picture but was or is an addict. he's still alive last i heard. shame on all the people in the other amy thread for making fun of her and her addiction. i'm sure everyone of you has or had a family member or you yourself has gone through an addiction. i thought better and i'm proud that i did.

Amy Winehouse joins the 27 club not that she deserves to be held in the same esteem as some of the great artists in that club. I actually predicted her to go out at 27 lol.
    Not surprised here.
