I live in Arizona. It's over 100 for 3 months straight.
It's gotten up to 118 already, and it'll hit 120 from time to time.
What's it like at night? It stays in the 80s for July and August with the same humidity as during the day here in southern IL. The humidity will subside for a little bit after a good rain but thats about it for relief. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to what the actual temps get, but low 100s will feel like 115-120.
I hate the heat and humidity. Just don't like takin a shower and than steppin outside into a blanket humidity and it literally takes your breath away. Sweatin alone would be bad enough, but it feels like somebody smears spit all over you it's so damn muggy.
I don't mind the winters here. We usually have a couple solid winter storms that fuck up the road for a couple days. It's not really a problem unless except for dumbass drivers. The cold itself doesn't phase me really at all.
The lows at night are around 82 or so.
I lived in the midwest for 24 years, and you're right that the humidity makes it miserable. That said, I've never been actually burned by my car while living in the midwest! If your arm touches anything metal in your car here, it'll leave a mark. haha!
A lot of people from the midwest/Chicago tell me "I don't know how you can deal with the heat there!" I then tell them that we have 3 months of excessive heat here, and 9 months of beautiful weather. Back home, you have 3-4 months of bitter cold, 3-4 months of hot-sticky nastiness, and 3-4 months of nice weather.
My passport book wont be getting any stamps from Aussieland.
Nothing personal,
but this weathers too fucking hot.
We cannot cope.

If you want consistent beautiful temperatures, move to southern florida on the Atlantic coast, intercoastal strip. My folks have a condo on the water there facing south-east. During the winter, the sun warms up their corner and their balcony is around 75 degrees. During the summer, the sun is off of the balcony and the water cools the air, and it's 88 degrees. ...inland though is another story.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

Today it's 75-I could deal with 80, but I love it today.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
My cuz mentioned 101 F is not normal.
HAHAHAHA.
Wait till you come down under, it is 101 every day.
We get a few days of 111 F.
That is for those who say us Aussies don't know what cold is!
yeah, 101 is not normal.
Add to this 80 to 90% humidity and that shit kills.
Whats the average humidity levels there during the hottest time of the year?
Got up to 98f here yesterday with 80% humidity for a heat index of 115 to 120 f. Air felt heavy and oppressive.
In Melbourne we get a dry heat, the hot air blows down from the desert.
But last summer was unusually very humid, one of the highest humidity summers on record with many days of 90% plus humidity. Actually the last few summers have been humid (climate change perhaps), but I loved last summer the best, nothing like riding your bike in those humid overcast conditions.
Normally it is low humidity in Melbourne, feels like a hot fan forced oven.
I hate they dry heat!
Up north where Ziggy is from it is high humidity all the time.

He played that really well hahah
