We get a few days of 111 F.

That is for those who say us Aussies don't know what cold is!

I'm just wondering, but what's the coldest it gets down in Aussie? I've always wanted to know.

    yeah, 101 is not normal.

Add to this 80 to 90% humidity and that shit kills.

Whats the average humidity levels there during the hottest time of the year?

Got up to 98f here yesterday with 80% humidity for a heat index of 115 to 120 f. Air felt heavy and oppressive.

Here in Albury NSW Australia it can be 104 F in the summer for weeks on end and in the winter, overnight it can go as low as 24.8 F. The best part about where i live is you really get to experience the true seasons. Not sure what the lowest temp ever in OZ is: would have to google it.

You're guys lucky not be here - in my place. I'd like to change for some time. Here there were maybe 4-5 days up to now w/o f'ing rain. The water is everywhere. I feel like I live in some ocean or something... maybe I will become some marmaid. If I could give some of you some rain and you'd give me some Sun. :?

Clearly it doesn't get as hot here as it does down there.

But the combination of 103 degree days in the summer with 13 degree days with 2 feet of snow in the winter is nothing you guys would have any idea about.

depends on the part of the country, we are a big country, there are places like Arizona and Neveda where 110 and above is normal. It's a dry heat, but that shit still stinks.

In north Texas this summer has been a little hotter than usual. We usually average about 15 days above 100. So far this year we've had 24. July 15 was 107.

But nothing approaching 1980 when we had 69 days above 100. :wtf:

There's plenty of the u.s. that is hot as hell. Phoenix, Las Vegas, Palm Springs can all get 115 + easily and they are very decent sized cities. I was in a town by the colorado river called laughlin once and it was 127. You're right though about those babies in chicago, ny, etc. that start whining its 100 and our makes the news.

so now we're whiners because we're complaining about it being fucking hot? It's like walking into a pre-heated oven out there.

I'll whine all I want. And I will, all god damn day, I'll whine. :D

    IT'S FUCKING HOT!

I could do without the humidity too. That's pretty much the only reason I run my a/c - so I can close the windows to keep the humidity out.
