Last night I asked if any other Pearl Jam folks were chronic kicker outers.

Tonight, I wonder how many of you have knuckled up and hit some mother fucker?

I hate fighting, but I have no problem doing so as a last resort. when all else has failed, when I need to defend myself, or even if I feel universe is asking me to teach someone a life lesson..

so, lay it on me.. Win or loss, who got the old knuckle sandwich??

Been in two of them, won one and lost the other. Almost got into a third but others broke it up. Not proud of the fights but I wish now and then I had got into the 3rd one. They had it coming.

No. First fight I lost very badly. I was in 5th grade and I was being pushed around by a 9th grader so I threw a full soda can at him. Hit that fucker in the head too. He proceeded to come to the middle of the bus and pummel the living shit out of me. Second fight was someone cut me off while leaving the high school parking lot. We had words and I got out of the car and took it to him! Third was at a bar in college. This guy bumps into me and then expects an apology...well before you know it we are both escorted out of the bar. Literally I was done in one punch..I turned around and I got hit in the nose breaking it and I was knocked out. One punch chump.:lol::lol:

The loss sounds like my encounter with the Ontario Provincial Police and the reason I am not allowed in Canada.. Kudos to to you sir  Just so long as someone caught the wrath! :D

I'm an ex Aussie bouncer....... enough said.
Better to talk it down if you can, but if you can't, hit 'em with EVERYTHING you've got.
I only got hit once in 7 years - through my own fault of under-estimating a guy I though was wasted drunk. Lesson learned :)

I avoided them by crying when someone hit me, from grade 3 to 8. I guess word got out that if someone punched me in the shoulder I'd cry. I didn't want to find out what getting punched in the face was like so I didn't give them a reason.

But one time a few years ago I traded shoulder shots with a dude twice my size, I'm 6'2", he made me stop because he said he couldn't take another one.

I got into a couple little BS fights in grade school. My last fight was my senior year of high school, so about 12 years ago. I accidentally bumped into this dude in the hallway one day and he started talking shit and said he was going to kick my ass after school. I had no intentions of fighting him, so I'm walking home after school and he jumps me from behind. That was the only hit he got in and I ended up kicking his ass, busting up his nose really bad. The cool kid got beat up by the band geek. He didn't show up to school the next 3 days.

I a few scuffles...only been hit once...a but head in high school was shooting paper clips with an elastic at me "told him to fuck off", he threw a punch, i threw him to the ground and before more punches were thrown the teacher intervened...the look on his face laying on the ground was worth it. I've been able to avoid trouble...most of the time.

My downfall in one of the fights that I lost was that I like to fight hockey style and grab the sweater.. Most times, because of my long reach, it works like a charm.. But if you try and grab a guy that has already taken his shirt off, it kind of blows

Many many fist fights with my cousin a year younger than me. I always kicked his ass. Then the fucker grew a foot in about 6 months it seemed and he wasn't as easy to handle.
Last one was when I was around 20, 14 years ago, I floored this fucker jumped on him and pounded his head big time. He had needed it for a long time. Started shit and Caught me at the wrong time and wrong situation.

Yes....a few....and one of the most memorable of them involved alcohol, go figure!

I was at a house party in high school and some uninvited guest decided to try and crash the party. Well they got kicked out by the kid who lived there and they weren't to happy about it and decided they wanted to start a fight. Somehow a good friend of mine and myself got locked out of the house and all the rest of the people we knew decided to stay in......the same people who got into the initial argument with the guys that got kicked out

The guys that got kicked out decided to bring back about ten pals a few minutes later.....all the while me and my buddy are still outside alone....and drunk.

Well it didn't work out to good for us from there, because we decided (in our intoxicated minds that we would take on theses guys ourselves, but actually we had no choice we were just easy targets and they pretty much decided they were going to kick our ass.

And that they did. I remember when it started seeing someone running towards me, and right about that time I remember getting up from the ground also. I got knocked out from a sucker punch and all I could do after that was laugh!

Went over to help my friend who was on the ground getting worked over by about four guys, threw a couple of punches there, and then on to the side of the house where I somehow got into it with a few other guys.

I got thrown into some bushes, got a banged up face, and somehow in the process of getting my butt kicked my shoes got pulled off and thrown by my attackers. It was hilarious!! Never found one of my shoes!

Afterwards me and my buddy got a ride to Jack n the box for some late night tacos and then home were we preceded to tell my mom about how we got beat up at a party and we laughed the whole time

Oh, and my mom also realized that I went to parties and drank after the night too! She forgave me though

Me and my friend still laugh about that today

    LOL

I think maybe in grade school. I can't imagine being hit so hard in the face my nose would break. Likewise, I can't imagine doing that to someone else. The sheer force it takes.

    I am a lover, not a fighter. :D

Yeah and this dumb sonofabitch called wanting me to come hang out not 12 hours later. Of course I didn't. We were supposedly 'friends' but never actually....just both liked drinking. Guy popped up a few years later wanting to borrow money. Funny thing about that is that he always acted like a big wheel. I saw his fucked head a few days later and was quite proud of myself

In high school, a few pals and I went to see Fear (L.A. Punk band) at a club in Hollywood. There was a punk gang known as The L.A.D.S. (L.A. Death Squad). Turns out one of my friends had mouthed-off to one of the gang members a few weeks before, and, the gang member was a great boxer. While the rest of the gang watched, I got head-butted, and my 2 friends got punched in the mouth by the boxer fella. Common sense got the best of us, so we all stayed down, then walked away. Not much of a fight!

Another time, a classmate of mine was bad-mouthing me to my sister's colleagues (UCLA PhD students). I ran into the guy at a friend's apartment, and I had just finished finals. The minute I saw him, I rushed him at the door annd shoved him to the ground.....he almost fell down the stairs.

I am not a violent dude but if someone tries to harm a loved-one, my rage comes out.

Even to this day, if someone bumps into my wife, I forget that I am only 5' 7"

i almost forgot, i was at a bar with my sister a few years ago and some douche bag grabbed her ass and she threatened to punch him if he did it again(she's a tough one), he did it again and before she could throw the punch, i hit him a few times and broke his nose. the bartender saw the whole thing so when the cops were called, he got arrested and i didn't

It occurs to me that I really haven't told a story yet.. here we go..

My favorite one was the time I beat the hell out of this cat in high school.. He was hitting on my girlfriend and she didn't enjoy his attention. When I confronted him, he lifted his shirt to show me his gut (some gangsta move?) and proceeded to tell me "you don't know me, you don't want none of this" ..
I quite enjoyed how quickly he sprang to his feet after falling down after just one punch. I let him have it again before he could even compose himself.. It was like one of those bottom weighted, inflatable punching bags..

    JUST STAY DOWN DUDE!!

Oh and in high school I had a shitty lunch period with no real friends. Sat with at a table with a couple dudes who were pals before, as kids, just different. This one guy always wanted my nasty roll, told him I wanted it one day and he coughed on it. Then in my face. Fucked his nose up real good. He's bleeding like a stuck pig, teacher apparently saw the punch, came over as this dick is wiping blood off his stupid face and says only "y'all need to calm down." she and I have talked about it since, she was glad he got punched! Haha! Guy was an idiot....still is I'm sure

The only fist fight iv ever been in was this past Christmas. My brother pushed me as hard as he could while I was walking out the door with my 1 year and 1/2 old boy in my arms and we went flying. I put my kid down, stood up and my natural reaction was kill this mother fucker. I started swinging and my parents broke it up. I hate fighting. Iv always walked away from them. You can fuck with me all day long but you fuck with my kids and put them in harms way, I'll kill you without thinking twice. I haven't spoken to my brother in 7 months. I have no care in the world to ever talk to him.
    I'll be back

i've been in a handful of fistfights in my life. i won a few and a few were broken up before there was a clear winner. have not had a street fight/bar brawl since 1997 when i was in college...ironically enough i have fought more times in my 30s than at any point in my life. i have had 14 mma fights...i went 11-3 before giving it up. i avenged all 3 losses and got out without any serious injuries, just some sutures and a broken nose, so i was very lucky and i was happy with what i was able to do with only 2 years of formal training.

i will never get in a fistfight again. i have too much to lose now and do not need the legal trouble that comes along with it. i think i will subscribe to the bruce lee philosophy of fighting without fighting...
