Here's that "miserable" Melbourne weather a dog would never survive outdoors in.. http://www.weather.com/weather/today/ASXX0075

Seriously, miserable weather? Does it even go below freezing in Australia?

My friends growing up had a Golden Retriever that stayed out doors much of its long life, in temperatures well below freezing. She preferred to stay outside.

My hound, who I found on a highway in North Carolina one January, clearly had been living outdoors on her own for some time.

Now she finds it impossible to sleep unless she is on our bed, across the pillows. After her evening Milk Bone and belly rub.

Dogs can adapt to things, sure...

I would be more concerned if they were leaving the dog outdoors in Australian summer weather. Australian winters are perfect temps for furry doggies.

    It's freezing... 12 degrees yesterday....

Monday night I picked my parents up from the airport and it was 8.... brrrrr

Also I had a dog, she lived for 11 and a half happy years out doors... she was a big fury dog, and my mum would only let her in the house during thunder storms or if there was fireworks...

She was very much loved, who had a big kennel, and we would wrap her in big blankets on cold nights... SHe was the best dog anyone could ever have, and I miss her so much... I haven't had a dog since... But if I did, it too would be an outside dog... And if anyone suggests my dog was neglected for being outside well, they are very very wrong...

Celsius or Fahrenheit?.. If you say celsius, I'm going to laugh. I keep it 16 celsius in my apartment at night.

You Americans don't know what it's like down here.
Melbourne = 4 seasons in one day.
Below us is Antarctica, when that wind chill hits it freezes you over.

I wanna go and do a work out, but don't wanna get in shorts and all my old injuries have ceased up with the cold...

Yeah it's pretty bad down here today, 15c outside at 2:55pm.
My knee that I injured back in 2005 always hurts when jogging in this icy cold weather.
I got the heater on max in my room.

I feel sorry for any pets kept outdoors today.
Earlier when walking back from the corner shop I found a sparrow frozen dead on the powerline.

Fuck the weather, what's this bullshit about some dogs like it outside?

It's a dog, it should be outside. No matter what the size, I hate dogs being inside. I hate it when people treat their dog like it's a person, and when people let their dog sleep on their bed with them. Fuck that.

I have a little white ball of fluff and he ain't allowed inside. He's a dog. Don't care how cold it gets, the other night it was minus 1. He survived.

Now that can be a nuisance. I hope the ranger had thermal gear on.
PS. They might be after the penguins.
