Which is a better benefit than anything we got for the EV tour in the US or in Australia, yet the South American rights are being trampled on.

Last time I checked the 10c was the Pearl Jam fanclub and not the Eddie Vedder fanclub.
Just imagine PJ would tour the US and nosebleed seats would cost 150$ and the real good seats would be at over 200$. Oh yeah and there wouldn't be seniority or 10c tickets, just a presale password for ticketmaster. The amount of bitching in here would be unimaginable.

Oh, and some dude posted here that vip, dividing sections. For the rich for the poor. Classes separated. Holy FUCK!!!!!

First of all. A poor person will not attend these shows. Are we latinamericans or where do you live? A poor person doesn´t even have a cd player. What level of poor are we all talking about?

Someone said they will probably sell all their PJ stuff becuase he´s so pissed. Do yourself a favor. Sell them and give the money to charity. Help real poor kids get a fighting chance against cancer. There´s a great fundraiser here in guatemala thats been going on for some time now: http://www.ayuvi.org.gt/eng/index.php

Yes I wrote that. Do you have a problem? Tell me and we can meet at the Guatemala concert and sort it out.
You make no sense at all. You complaint about seats at rock concert... and make fun of me talking about the division on concerts?!?!? It the very same thing, my friend.
Since you are in Guatemala, and I know almost no rock concert go there... you don't have a saying OK?
I have been attending rock concerts since I was 13 years old here in Brazil.
What I am trying to do it to protect the rock concert experience and what it used to stand for.

By the way... I am from Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. Want to talk about poverty, violence? I know it. I was able to study, work and today I am in a better position. By poor I mean the 18 year old student with a part-time job and a minimum wage of US$320,00 a month.

I am not talking about homeless people. I have a good name for you. But I will apply to the Forum rules.
    In love with music

Good morning Dimitris. I noticed the whining went on through the evening and that I didn't really miss anything new on these forums.

    - 10 Clubbers crying about EV tickets
    - 10 Clubbers crying about not having a songbook that isn't finished yet
    - 10 Clubbers crying about not getting into the show 15 minutes earlier than everyone else although they have the option of buying seats anywhere in the arena they want.
    - 10 Clubbers complaining about ticket prices that are fair for a band of their magnitude these days.
    - 10 Clubbers complaining because PJ doesn't play in every state in the US.

Have I missed anything else just from Page 1?

lemme ask you this ... if the band only came around you every 6 years, didn't offer you a chance to get tickets first, gave you no special seating and then charged you more than someone who gets all of the above - would you be part of the fan club?

    1) I would travel
    2) The 10 Club always gets first dibs at tickets. Nothing has changed.
    3) I didn't get special seating for the EV tour. In fact I was further away in a 3,000 seat theater than I usually am in a 40,000 seat venue. No complaints. Great show.
    4) I paid just under $100 for EV tickets(each) and over $100 for PJ20 tickets in the seats.
    5) Yes I would still be a part of the fan club.

I think you didn´t understand, we won´t have seats here....
If we want to be close to the stage we have to stay 1 or 2 days early in the line.

    1. your idea of traveling is a commuter flight or a long drive - not so if you live in argentina
    2. 10 Clubbers in latin america are not getting first dibs as its being done in a presale with a password - we all know the scalpers will have the advantage
    3. EV shows were random - you did get first crack at tickets
    4. compare average salary of an american vs. an Argentinian - just because $120 USD (which is significantly more than what they are charging in north america) is not a big deal to you ... what is that compared to someone living in argentina?
    5. you didn't really answer my question based on the facts i gave ... for this latin america tour - fan club members there get no benefits whatsoever ... are you telling me if you got no benefits - you would still be part of the fan club?

edit: i paid $85 per for my toronto tickets ...

    1. but you get to see them every year often with very little travel required
    2. they are NOT getting first dibs in latin america
    3. yeah - so? ... you still got first crack at tickets
    4. it isn't what it is ... how is that U2 could charge 33% less for a show that has all kinds of elaborate lighting and effects and requires way more labour?
    5. back then, we got a single every year relatively on time and a newsletter and we did get access to shows ... also, the membership back then was $10 ... vs. the $50 membership it is now ...

listen, i am not a big fan of the entitlement issues many of us have on this board but objectively speaking, i think their points are valid ... they are paying $50 a year for no benefit whatsoever ... sure, access to tickets is a crapshoot as many still get shutout ... but they don't even get that opportunity ... all these people are asking for is early entry into a GA show without the segregation of a VIP sector ... imagine you go to a show in philly and the entire first 30 rows of the floors were for VIPs ...

I'm a member of the 10C because I love PJ. Ticket benefit is just a bonus :D ! However it's only one date in each city. Please Please Please Please let us get in first!!!! The venue in Mexico City is huge. We need a little help..........

I know in theory tix are a "bonus" but in reality tickets are the main reason to be a member of the 10 club for many of its members. For those of you in South America who are a member mostly for tickets and the benefits that come with it, I am sorry for how this is turning out. I hope things get rectified for you.

10 club you are on a  this year...

    3. yeah - so? ... you still got first crack at tickets
    4. it isn't what it is ... how is that U2 could charge 33% less for a show that has all kinds of elaborate lighting and effects and requires way more labour?
    5. back then, we got a single every year relatively on time and a newsletter and we did get access to shows ... also, the membership back then was $10 ... vs. the $50 membership it is now ...

    1) If I'm lucky enough to get tickets.
    2) Yes they are, it's a 10 Club only presale.
    3) Every 10 Club member has the same chance at tickets that I do and guess what, if I was going to a south American show, the same benefits would apply for me.
    4) U2 tickets are way more expensive than Pearl Jam tickets. Are you nuts?
    5) Everything has gone up in price since 1992. If $50 is too much than don't pay it.

It's the best year ever for this band and it's one complaint after another. It's unbelievable. I'm sure when the PJ20 film comes out there will be complaints that it isn't in every movie theater in Wyoming and that people won't get to see it.

Man, oh man, this thread is right up your alley. Have fun.

    It's true though right?

I agree with points 1,2 & 5. However, I strongly disagree with you regarding points 3 & 4. In S.A they are basically getting a pre-sale password for their membership fee. A password that will leak. Imagine the shit storm that would spill onto this message board if the only benefit we received was a pre-sale p/w without priority seating. In addition, PJ tix are priced very high, I might even say too high, especially in countries that have such low income per capita. The United States is essentially a middle class country and the prices of these tickets would make me think twice about attending a show. Just my .02.

Yeah but this year the 10 club has taken us down a bumpy road with some head scratching decisions. I get where some of these complaints are coming from. I'm trying to get where you're coming from but sometimes we just need to have a bit of empathy. I know empathy and understanding are not your thing and that you just maybe might aim to be the contrarian of this board. I think this S.A issue is a legitimate one.

Again I repeat an earlier post of mine:
CLICK ON REDMOSQUITO22'S NAME AND ADD HIM AS A FOE
You will no longer even see his posts. He adds absolutely nothing to any discussion on this board.
