    YEAH... don't feed the trolls
  • I'm a member of the 10C because I love PJ. Ticket benefit is just a bonus :D ! However it's only one date in each city. Please Please Please Please let us get in first!!!! The venue in Mexico City is huge. We need a little help..........

I know in theory tix are a "bonus" but in reality tickets are the main reason to be a member of the 10 club for many of its members. For those of you in South America who are a member mostly for tickets and the benefits that come with it, I am sorry for how this is turning out. I hope things get rectified for you.

10 club you are on a  this year...

    Yes, they´re not.
For exemple, if you read the rules for Canadian tour we wil find:

    - Ten Club tickets for reserved seating are allocated by membership seniority, with the exception of rows 1-2 and rows 9-10 which will be used for random allocation.

    1) If I'm lucky enough to get tickets.
    2) Yes they are, it's a 10 Club only presale.
    3) Every 10 Club member has the same chance at tickets that I do and guess what, if I was going to a south American show, the same benefits would apply for me.
    4) U2 tickets are way more expensive than Pearl Jam tickets. Are you nuts?
    5) Everything has gone up in price since 1992. If $50 is too much than don't pay it.

    1. exactly
    2. c'mon ... it's not a 10Club only presale ... it's a presale password that is the same for everyone ... you know the scalpers will get it and they have their computers and programs to snatch up the tickets ...
    3. you had the benefit of having an opportunity to buy tickets first - they are not getting that in SA
    4. Not in Argentina
    5. back to the original question ... would YOU pay it if you got zero benefits?

Just a question: do these LA/SA shows usually sell out? I see that the show in Costa Rica is at a newer stadium that seats 35,000+ (and looks awesome by the way).

I'm asking because I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can work things out to get down there for the show, but I doubt I'll be able to work it out before July 22. Will I have trouble getting tickets if I don't do the presale?

Yes I wrote that. Do you have a problem? Tell me and we can meet at the Guatemala concert and sort it out.
You make no sense at all. You complaint about seats at rock concert... and make fun of me talking about the division on concerts?!?!? It the very same thing, my friend.
Since you are in Guatemala, and I know almost no rock concert go there... you don't have a saying OK?
I have been attending rock concerts since I was 13 years old here in Brazil.
What I am trying to do it to protect the rock concert experience and what it used to stand for.

By the way... I am from Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. Want to talk about poverty, violence? I know it. I was able to study, work and today I am in a better position. By poor I mean the 18 year old student with a part-time job and a minimum wage of US$320,00 a month.

I am not talking about homeless people. I have a good name for you. But I will apply to the Forum rules.

Listen, i´m not picking a fight with you. If you´re the one that said you were going to sell your pj stuff becuase of this, then be my guest. You´re entitled to it. If this is going to make your concert experience less enjoyable, then I´m deeply sorry. Life is a bitch. But do yourself a favor and put things in perspective.

As for your mockery on no concerts in guatemala: that is a lame statement. What are you? 15?

You are trying to protect what a rock concert stands for? I beg you, i´m ignorant. What does it stand for? Explain, please.

If you don't want to pick a fight, show some respect. Did you got offended about me talking on your country? That's how I felt when you mocked my opinion with your uncalled for "what the fuck".

I am 33 years old, I traveled have the world and I always show respect over another person opinion. At least until I feel people are making fun of mine.

If you don't know what a rock concert is about, maybe you should not be here. Ask yourself, what do you believe in? You think life is a bitch, I think it's not. I think it is what we make of it.

YOUR BELIEF IS WHAT YOU ARE. If people walk over you and you let them. That's just YOU. Not them.

And I never said I would sell my stuff. I would stop buying official stuff. Because I have been supporting this band and their beliefs as long as I can remember. So I am asking for them to stand true to that. Is that too much to ask?
The band stands against piracy and how it's bad for music in general. So I pay the price to keep my favorite artist free and creative. I don't do this to make them rich, I just want them to keep playing, keep creating, keep giving me hope, joy and the sense that we can be better persons.
    In love with music

u2 tickets were cheaper than PJ's, i've been there.

When? In 1994? U2 Philly tickets up close this year are $268 each. I'm pretty sure Pearl Jam 10 Club seats never had a $536 ticket package.

In St. Louis top ticket price is $250
In NJ top ticket price is $268
In Minneapolis top ticket price is $275

Would you like me to look up more?

I have painfully read every single post in this thread. It is total bullshit that 10 Club members don't have early access into the venues in Central and South America. They are 100 percent correct when the analogy is used that if PJ toured in the United States or Canada and the seniority system was taken away. Can you imagine the shit show that would happen on this board? I for one will be emailing the Ten Club and I hope all members (even if you're not going) take the time out of your day and send an email regarding this matter. It seems that some US members have almost created a "us against them" mentality with our south of the border members and it should not be that way at all. We should be trying to help them! They are members just like us and no less passionate about PJ. In reality there is not much we can do but be a voice. Please take a couple of minutes and just send an email. Thanks for listening.

I couldn't care less about the seniority system and I'm from the USA. I would still go to the shows and would still be a part of the fan club.

Would it be great if they could let them in early, of course. And I would love if they change it and they can go in early. I can't imagine they didn't try though. We'll see tonight what Tim says.

Is it the end of the world like it seems in this thread. Absolutely not.

The band stands against piracy and how it's bad for music in general. So I pay the price to keep my favorite artist free and creative. I don't do this to make them rich, I just want them to keep playing, keep creating, keep giving me hope, joy and the sense that we can be better persons.
I never think the things in this way and I am really i agree with you. Best comment in this thread (for me).

Sure. It´s true. And to say something about previous posts I agree with dimitrispearljam, this is the way things are here. Thanks...

I would like to see Tim post a message regarding this issue before tonight's show comes on. That is simply too long to wait. I am sure there will be an explanation but it should have been given yesterday. The longer this goes the more upset people get. This should be headed off ASAP.

  • When? In 1994? U2 Philly tickets up close this year are $268 each. I'm pretty sure Pearl Jam 10 Club seats never had a $536 ticket package.

In St. Louis top ticket price is $250
In NJ top ticket price is $268
In Minneapolis top ticket price is $275

Would you like me to look up more?

i'm talking about the U2 360 tour here in Buenos Aires. cause this whole subject is about south america, you know?
