I've lived in Peru. This gives me a little understanding of the poverty, the passion and kindness of the people. I spent most of my time with the regular people, not the privileged few.
With this in mind I truly hope the band have nothing to do with the prices.
To RM22- please try a little compassion.
There's so much in this thread, not least South and Central America's 'big' and affluent neighbour setting their agenda without understanding how they're breaking trust and promises.
There is real distress in this thread.
When you get let down, betrayed and hopes dashed it hurts.
Maybe others should behave as you want them to-that's ok. But if they don't leave them be.
Give them a little kindness.
I personally back them 100%
South and Central Americans speak your truth and enjoy your voice being heard.

It doesn't seem fair for those who pay every year international membership. We don't have the same chances that americans and europeans to see the band. But I can say that it's sad to read from other guy here that we can not complain because the band don't have obligation to came here. For most of people this will be the only chance to see the band.

You listen to this band for years. The songs have a message there. The fight against ticketmaster, the no video policy on MTV... all Ed speeches on concerts. Talking about change the world, making a difference.
Now I will go to a PJ concert where we will be divided in "classes". The richer people close to the stage, the not so fortunate way in the back... the more poor won't stand a chance. Ok. That's life in the "Free World"
I believed every word they said. For me the early entry was like a statement. Something like: "We have this group of people that believes so much in our message, we will put them up front. On our flat ticket price concert. Where everybody is equal and we are just one".
Now I see it was a load of crap and I feel stupid to have believed in it for so long.

We are not waiting low prices. I was in all concerts in 2005 here in Brazil. It was magic, something that I can't describe. The experience of going to the concert is the same for both (member or not)... it will be magic... but I think that we deserves, we don't see the band every year, we don't have accents marked...
Everyone is happy, anxious for South America Tour, but like I said... this will be our only chance to see the band and we don't know if they will come back soon unlike other countries that have concerts almost every time.

I don't see any benefit on getting a general admission ticket a couple of days before everybody else. We'll always love and respect our favorite one, and that is: Pearl Jam. But, what about PJ's favorites? ...All their true fans.

Note to everybody in this thread, I see lots of you complaining about the RedMosquito22 fellow. Solution to your problem is to click on his user name and then click "Add Foe" and you will never see his posts again
Back to the topic on hand, I'm gonna call in to the show tomorrow and let Tim know just how wrong this is. There is plenty to speak up about here, outrageous ticket prices and no fanclub benefits at the forefront. I've witnessed firsthand the poverty and hardships a lot of Brazilians face, and the fact that PJ is charging over US$140 (nearly twice what we pay here in the States) for the CHEAPEST ticket is unbelievable. I really feel that the band has abandoned their moral that its "all about the fans". They seem to be all about the money now. I just wish 10c would actually listen to our concerns instead of making jokes about them and telling us to start a band, sell millions of records, and run your own fan club.
That's cool ... to see the band up close, fans should sleep in the queue! Very good. We atended years to see the band and we must see a big screen a few meters away. We pay tuition and our rights are thrown away.
I THINK IT SUCKS MEXICAN TEN CLUB MEMBERS DONT HAVE EARLY ACCESS, I'VE BEEN A MEMBER SINCE 2006 AND I DONT THINK ITS FAIR OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE THIS OPTIONS AND WE DONT, $50USD IS WAY TOO MUCH FOR THAT SHIRT (FUNNY HOW THE OTHER SHIRT YOU SALE ARENT LIKE THIS ONE AT ALL). WE WANT EARLY ACCESS!!! END OF IT, WE DESERVE IT, DONT YOU THINK?
I've been a 10c member for more years 5 years and when The band backs to Brasil we don't have The right to early entrance or any other benefits for The latin América shows ??
Like the music: IT'S SAD !!
C'mon....
Please 10c administrators, review this situation!!
C´mon people! A wristbrand? Early access? This is a fucking rock concert!
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to save money and travel all the way to seattle and LA in 2009 for 4 PJ shows. I became a member just for that earlier that year. I renewed because I thought they would do a great 20 anniv tour. All they ended up doing is a two day festival. I was dissappinted, but hey: what can WE do about it?
To tell you the truth, I was completely overwhelmed by the seattle crowd. LAME. Like robots. Like the video for pink floyd´s "another brick in the wall pt 2". A rock concert with seats? WTF!? At los angeles my friend and I were banging against each other during Rats (fucking RATS!) and some people kinda looked at us like wtf are you doing? Moshing and bumping against each other and holding each other jumping as one unit with people you don´t know is the beauty of a rock concert. IMO. Don´t get me wrong, I enjoyed the shows, specially Los Angeles.
We should be happy they are visiting us. Costa Rica!!! Finally in central america. I´m from guatemala, but am i pissed they are not coming? Well, a little, but not at PJ or TC. Its not up to them in the end. They charge a certain amount of money for the set. After that it depends on the promoters. GET OVER IT. Don´t let this small (yes its very small) issue get you annoyed and probably not enjoy the show (if you decide to go).
I noticed a lot of members are complaining about not getting the support they think they should have from PJ/TC, and some have become members this year. Get things in perspective. Gimmie a break.
I love PJ. Ticketmaster case was long ago. They have changed. Its the sad truth. Are you the same person, or have the same thoughts on things as you did in 1991-1998? I am heartbroken because I have noticed in other latino forums and this one that most believe what the band (mostly ed) stood up against back in the day is the whole deal these days. And its just not true. I mean some "fans" will leave the show unhappy because they did not play "jeremy". Put things in perspective.

Oh, and some dude posted here that vip, dividing sections. For the rich for the poor. Classes separated. Holy FUCK!!!!!
First of all. A poor person will not attend these shows. Are we latinamericans or where do you live? A poor person doesn´t even have a cd player. What level of poor are we all talking about?
Someone said they will probably sell all their PJ stuff becuase he´s so pissed. Do yourself a favor. Sell them and give the money to charity. Help real poor kids get a fighting chance against cancer. There´s a great fundraiser here in guatemala thats been going on for some time now: http://www.ayuvi.org.gt/eng/index.php

In Chile we only have access to a Pre-Sale for 10c members, BUT, after that one there is another pre-sale with 20% discount for customers of a cellphone company (Entel PCS). After that one begins the public on sale.
