Agreed. So glad I didn't miss out on both nights - each had amazing setlists in their own right. Would've loved more Arc, but you can't complain with that setlist above.

For me, the first show blew this one clean away! But I was able to sit front row for Glen which was so incredible!!

This show was great, but that first encore last night was perfect.

Just got home...postin' from the commode! Great show. I have to give night one a slight edge. But.....I've been to nearly 100 rolling stones shows and I'm very much a stones historian.....hearing that great story Ed told about Ronnie wood and the great Charlie Watts was priceless and one I've never heard before. I attended night one with my almost 7 year old son and we had a blast. Tonite I was with my wonderful bride of ten years and we had just as great of a time. It seemed Ed got a bit lost with the vocals during lukin, but he was spot on the rest of the night. Highlights for me were soon forget, Around the Bend, longing to belong, and picture in a frame.

Crowd was much more rowdy tonight and we were fortunate enough to sit behind the ass clown who had to yell "welcome home Eddie" about three dozen times. He was eventually ejected for picking fights.....stay classy.

Just got back...all I can say is wow. He blew it out of the water tonight. Amazing show.
AROUND THE BEND, that's all I have to say. And Speed of Sound nearly made me cry, it was so gorgeous. And Lukin 2 with strings!
Aside from the drunk dude sitting near me who started a fight and nearly ruined the whole evening, it was a perfect show. Went and got a bite to eat and went back around 1 AM to see if Ed was still there, but the busses were gone. Oh well, maybe next time.
Thanks for an amazing two nights in your hometown Eddie!

        From TFT:
Rolling Stones story: Prior to “Speed of Sound”, Ed said he wrote the song for Ronnie Wood, but Ronnie never got around to it…Asked the crowd “do you want me to tell a story about Ron Wood & The Stones?”… After the cheers, talked about how when they were opening for the Rolling Stones (in 1997), on a night off Ronnie says to come back to his room, Ed though that “sounds like fun” and it was. When the Stones get a hotel room, each band member has his own floor, with security guards at each end near the elevators. So you have to get past all the security to you get to the room – and that’s where the trouble started. Ron had two huge road cases that travel with him, one with all of his equipment like a TV, CD player, DVD player and turntable, and another with all vinyl and CD’s and DVD’s. Amongst other things. So they spent the night smoking weed and listening to music from hard cases, (impersonating Ron Wood) ”Did you ever hear Junior Walker?” So they are smoking out and listening to music, and the phone rings. Woods’ wife Jo answers saying someone is calling to complain about the loud music, and Ron says to “tell ‘em to fuck off, we’re the Rolling Stones we know what we’re doing!” So she hung up. A few minutes later, the phone rang again with the same complaint; Ron again told Jo to tell them to fuck off, and Jo says “It’s Charlie.” It was Stone’s drummer Charlie Watts calling to tell him to turn it down, because his wife had just flown in to see him. Jo asked Ron ‘how do I turn this down?’ to which Ron replied…”Don’t turn it down, put on something romantic.” Ed later dedicated “Just Breathe” to Charlie Watts & his wife.

He actually said something along the lines of "We're the Rolling Stones. They [the hotel staff] knew what they were getting themselves into."

Me Too, I have been getting into Dave Alvin a lot lately. A killer set list, his shows just get better as the tour goes on.
