one time i drove a buddy into the backwoods and was not allowed (they did not know me) up to the house he was going to. so i hid in the swamp for about 2 or 3 hours. i must of been ate up something like 2 or 3 hundred times or more. i had so many bites it made me sick for 3 days.

was it well worth the 90 pounds of carrots we had??? no not really
    but kinda sorta

None at the moment, but I've only recently been relieved of about 5 of them on my ankles. Hate them so much.

I had about 6 yesterday just from being outside for a couple minutes. They are always gone a few hours later as I criss cross them with an X using my thumbnail. No need to itch them.

Fire ants are another story, I have about 12 of them, 11 on my right foot, all in a couple hours. Won't go outside with sandals anymore even though it's 100F out here.
fire ants are the most miserable things alive.
Fire ants kill me. My ankles still bear the marks from somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-40 bites I got a few weeks back. Weedeating in deep grass...somehow I busted a mound open and by the time I knew they were all over my feet, in my shoes, they had already done considerable damage.

Strangely enough...i live in the boonies and spend lots of time outside at night but nary a skeeter bite to be found on me...perhaps the strong scent of alcohol constantly permeating from myself keeps them away. YAY!!! Me thinks i just found another reason to drink more
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

Been in the back woods of Montana at glacier national park backpacking and it looks as if I have the chicken pox and that is after applying bug repelant. I have itchy spots in me in places that I didn't know could itch. I am going to try voidofman's suggestion and put an X through them with my thumb nail and see how quickly they disappear. We will just see about that.

Knock on wood....none right now....it could be because I had open-heart surgery three weeks ago and can't really get out into the woods yet....my legs are so white that they almost glow.
