I'm just glad he didn't hurt anyone else, other than himself and the guy in the car with him. I'm a HUGE fan of Jackass and Dunn was a favorite. I feel for his family and friends. People make mistakes, MANY actually but sometimes they just don't realize who else they hurt with those mistakes, that's the worst part of it.

This is such a tragic thing to have happened to two young guys in the prime of their lives. I loved Jackass for years and Dunn was my favourite for sure.
Recent news reports have confirmed the amount of alcohol in his body and Police summize he was driving 140mph in a 55mph zone... Damn.
He made careless mistakes that cost his own life and the life of another man. No amount of anger about drink driving or protesting from ^^ those ^^ people will bring them back and repair the holes in their family and friends lives.
For those people in here who have childishly called Ryan names and damned him for his mistake: I haven't been here for a while but it's no surprise you haven't changed. Grow the hell up, have some respect and remember that those two people are someone's son.

i have a hard time feeling pity for people that do stupid shit to get themselves killed.
does that mean you have no pity for smokers who get lung cancer and/or emphysema? i mean that's doing stupid shit and dying from is it not?
and there is a difference between having sympathy and empathy for someone dying and accepting how they died. i think casually shrugging off someone's death as not sad or a shame because of how they died is pretty heartless and uncaring. you can and should be able to separate their deaths from how they died and not casually and carelessy shrug it off because they did something foolish.
Also anyone else think he looked like Zach Galifianakis (Hangover)? I didn't at first but people think he does (posting how are they gonna make hangover 3 without him now that he is dead)

I saw one of the videos of Bam at the scene. I felt really bad for him.
I feel bad for Dunn and his family, and the other guys family as well.
But when Bam said something to the effect of "why did this have to happen to him" or "this isn't fair" or something to the tune of that, I kind of :roll: ... It's not like he died of a freak accident or an illness that doesn't seem fair in the grand scheme of things - he died by his own doing and ran into the consequences of drunk driving and excessive speeding... Some people feel they are invincible and I'm sure the Jackass guys feel this even more so...
Still very sad. Hopefully this will have an impact on some of their fans who may drink and drive in the future.

It was pretty intersting. Showed a lot of footage which I have never seen. Showed a young Bam & Ryan Dunn in '94. Pretty cool they showed East high school (i Went to their rival, Henderson ). Also i lived in an apt. complex about 7 or so years ago. Apparently the Jackass/cky production crew also stayed there (they have short tern furnished apt.s'd there) and one time bam and ryan ran a car into the apt. room. Pretty weird showed nighttime vision and cost $5,000 to repair. I don't think i was living there at that time though. Also weird to see Ryan's mom and dad talking. Not sure if anyone remember's Raab but he talked and I wouldn't have recognized him if they didn't say it was him. He looks like a regular guy now. I think he cleaned up his act and is sober now.
