I was pleased with everything, and besides the meddling bouncers it was a perfect night for me.
The highlight of my night was when I waited until it was quiet and Eddie wasn't talking so I wouldn't interrupt him (which people need to learn to do), and I yelled in a typical Rhode Island style:
"Thank You for 20 wicked awesome years."
And Eddie looked over my way and replied:
"It should be me thanking you."
What a class-act and one person I have always and will always admire greatly.

One drawback were the ya-hoos screaming stupid things while songs were being played or Eddie was talking.
It was impossible to hear what he was saying, just so some ego manic could hear his own voice screaming something so funny or interesting. Oh well!
That was just a tiny observation, and by no way did these fools impact the quality of this show.
Those with tickets to future shows are in for a true treat!

I didn't think it was that bad but then I wasn't in the middle or anything. The way it was described on the boards it seemed constant but it wasn't. I think people were just in the moment. The energy in that place was amazing as it always is at any show.

You are right. It wasn't that bad.
There were just a few scattered moments when it was worse than at other times. Ed seemed to take it all in stride, especially when we all "took a moment for Matt Cameron." That was awesome.
This whole Bruins playoff run has me completely gassed. I'm exhausted, and definitely getting sick over here....I came on the site to post my single ticket for sale for tonight, so I can rest up for Hartford.
After reading the reviews, there's no way I'm missing this show.
See you tonight!!
Uau...what a night for a fucking Italian....a fantastic show, thanks to' EV and all the friends that help me yesterday, kyle and others from Boston i will see both tonight and in hartford...
Great seats, amazing teathre..
I appreciated the gift Eddie did for clarenceclemons , i m a veteran e street band fan and that gave me a reason to' believe.
Thanks guys, thanks vedder, now we only need no surrender to' support the big man...
Amazing acoustic in providence, the right spot for a 5 starts Voice, for an amazing artist....
Sea, thanks for the setlist! I wasn't clear on the order, too busy living in the moment.
Great posts, all.
The energy in the center was just incredible, and there were times when I tore my eyes off Eddie to scan the crowd (we were in the 12th row, left, orchestra). The expressions on people's faces _ pure rapture.
Personal highlight for me... Unthought Known. I enjoyed the uke stuff far, far more than I thought I would. How the hell does he wrest such magic from that funny little guitar?!?
The whole experience was a blast from start to finish. Picked up Boo Boo at his house, drove down to Dissidentman's restaurant, sat outside by the tiki bar gazing out at the water, drank good beer, ate good food, laughed with crazy friends, then on to Providence _ pause here to note that Boo Boo and I performed the Best Ever Version of Yellow Ledbetter in the car on the way _ then the preparty where I saw many previously unmet friends from the boards _ Twisted Thoughts, Given to Dragonfly, URACrazyBreed... I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, sorry...
Then the show _ my God. I thought the ITW solo tour was unbeatable, I was wrong. Ed seemed so relaxed, happy _ he was clearly enjoying himself and the crowd. A very special night.
Regarding the "Thanks for 20 years!" yell _ I thought it was perfectly timed and clearly so did Ed. Good on ya, brother! That's some RI accent you got there!
And the Bruins. Well, what can you say _ the show ended with the B's ahead, 3-0, with 10 minutes left in the game. Our group was standing outside one bar, looking in the windows when the 4th goal was scored, and we made it back to the brewhouse in time to see the final two minutes.
Can it ever get any better than this?
We'll see what happens tonight in Boston... and Saturday in Hartford.
Also i see all you peeps in the front had a magical night as i would expect. Anybody all the way up top all the way in the back? I'm curious how it sounded back there. Was it loud enough? cleear? bad echo? etc.
Just curious as I have tickets for the beacon all the way up.. pretty much last row in the joint and I'm just trying to manage my expectations. Espcially after watching Water on the Road a dozen times. I'm pretty spoiled right now.

only downside was the abusive bouncers who were harassing people for using their electronic devices. An announcement at the beginning of the show would have been sufficient. There was no need to pull girls out of the audience and yell at them for using their smart phones. (I was not one of them but it created a very tense and unwelcoming environment that most people do not associate with going to PJ/Ed/side project shows) There were signs everywhere outside in the lobby too but it was just needless. I'll let someone else do the play by play but that's my take.
Respect the artist's wishes and there is no "tense and unwelcoming enviornment."
The show was amazing. I had amazing seats in the front row to the left. Ed was awesome. He came over and shook my and my sisters hands. He has super soft hands btw. The only downside was the abusive bouncers who were harassing people for using their electronic devices. An announcement at the beginning of the show would have been sufficient. agreed. the bouncer tried to kick me out because i was trying to take a pic or two. i had kick ass seats but right in front of security....and ed's hands were soft for sure

Put down the damn phones.
I have to agree...while the lady shining her flashlight in our faces in the aisle hurt my eyes, I appreciated her making the girl a few down from me turn off her damn phone. The light from her phone was just as distracting and her texting away. So annoying. Otherwise, frigging amazing show and I am so glad I went. The energy was awesome. I was pretty far back but the sound was great.
I just ran out when it was over and caught the last 5 minutes of the game. Close to perfect as it gets!!!
Very interesting opening with the Uke songs. I'm now even more excited to see the Chicago shows in a couple of weeks. What a great night for our friends in Boston/RI/CT area as the Eddie tour opens to rave reviews and your Bruins win the Cup! If the cup can't be in Chicago, I'm very pleased that its in Boston!
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

Stupid questions, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect for this show: who's on stage with Eddie? Is it just him with his uke or accoustic? Does it change throughout? I haven't seen a solo show previously, and with the recent album being on the uke, I'm not sure what the show is going to be like (other than awesome regardless).
Tonight's show was amazing as always. I was about ten rows from the back but all the seats are great at the acoustic shows. Set list was very good and Ed was on fire as always. My one complaint is why must people scream at these shows? I think this was my 6th solo show I've been to and every time you have that 2% of the crowd that has to scream every time Ed try's to talk. I'm all for screaming after songs or at end of show but how about shutting up while he talks? Anyway great show and great night!
I agree with this poster! It's a small venue, an opportunity for Ed to talk personally to the crowd. He tried several times and even shared a story about Matt Cameron and recording Just Breathe. But why can't people just sit and listen and let him talk without screaming and interrupting him? I had a lady in front of me that I had to shush several times cuz she would not shut up while he was speaking. I actually want to hear what he has/had to say. I'm there, as most are, for the entire experience and the story telling enhances that experience.
I almost sold my tickets due to a conflict in schedule that I had difficulty in configuring. Fortunately at 6:30 it worked out and i was on my way to PPAC. I am so grateful that I could go and hear some of my favorite songs acoustically and hear his new work live. It was a great show and EV just continues to fulfill that desire to witness, experience, and enjoy all things PJ/EV.
I find it interesting to see how lyrics have changed as EV's life situations change. It's like we are all part of a very interesting journey and can relate to songs as we go through our own life situations.
Simply amazing. For everyone awaiting his arrival, it's definitely worth the wait. Enjoy!
Peace.

It sounds as an amazing set to me and very intimate with all the new additions.
