The show was amazing. I had amazing seats in the front row to the left. Ed was awesome. He came over and shook my and my sisters hands. He has super soft hands btw. The only downside was the abusive bouncers who were harassing people for using their electronic devices. An announcement at the beginning of the show would have been sufficient. There was no need to pull girls out of the audience and yell at them for using their smart phones. (I was not one of them but it created a very tense and unwelcoming environment that most people do not associate with going to PJ/Ed/side project shows) There were signs everywhere outside in the lobby too but it was just needless. I'll let someone else do the play by play but that's my take. Oh yeah and the Better Man was the alternate version that was played at Bridge St.

I have a problem with law enforcement who just get their nuts off harassing people who aren't doing anything wrong. The bouncer on the left in front of me was checking his phone the whole night and really didn't give anyone any problems it was the other guys.

  • Tonite's show was amazing - the place was packed and the crowd was very much into the show. His voice sounded incredible - the solo stuff blended brilliantly with some PJ classics. If this tour is coming anywhere near you, it's a must see. Hansard was outstanding too and Porch was off the charts!

Tonight's show was amazing as always. I was about ten rows from the back but all the seats are great at the acoustic shows. Set list was very good and Ed was on fire as always. My one complaint is why must people scream at these shows? I think this was my 6th solo show I've been to and every time you have that 2% of the crowd that has to scream every time Ed try's to talk. I'm all for screaming after songs or at end of show but how about shutting up while he talks? Anyway great show and great night!

  • Great show tonight.

Very exciting to see the 1st show of the tour. I thought it was really gutsy to open with ~6 songs on uke - even though Ed is supporting a new record. The flow was great throughout the night.

Ed made the night even more special by keeping the crowd up to date on the Game 7 status with a makeshift scoreboard that a crew member brought out each time Boston scored. After updating the score once, the crowd started doing the typical hockey chant of "lets go bruins" and after a little while "Eddie Vedder" chants in the same manner started. Great vibe all around in the venue tonight.

I'd say this show was better than when I saw Ed solo in Chicago a few years ago. The setlist in Chi was more diverse, but this show was very exciting being the 1st show of the tour and the performance did not disappoint!

To the person who asked about the opener earlier...Glen Hansard was phenomenal. I wish he would have played longer than 30 minutes and I will see him if he's in the area in the future.

Great meeting people at the preparty.

    See you in Montreal next.

Coming up on 1am and I just rolled in from a great night. The show was amazing, so much energy in the performance and in the room. Eddie was great as always and had a lot of fun giving Bruins updates to the crowd. ARC was again amazing. So was The End, my first time hearing that live. I really enjoyed this show and it ended early enough that we were able to get across the street and watch the Bruins win. Can't wait till later tonight for the Boston show!

    Thanks Eddie. As always.

So let me ask you. If there are signs posted everywhere in the lobby and u know going in to the show that camera use is not allowed, why would you use it? The bouncer is there to do his job? Do u think he was checking the score or snapping pics? If he were doing his job to its fullest wouldnt u think u would have been thrown out? Maybe u should thank him for not taking his job seriously. How was it to have seats that people would kill for and watch it thru a lense? I enjoyed the music for 2 hours. Isnt that why we got tickets, to hear music?

just back after a very special and fun night in providence.

as a life long rhode islander, it has always been on my own personal "wishlist" for the band to play providence, and having ed open the solo tour here was very exciting! hey if not the band i'll certainly welcome eddie! the ppac is a great little building, and the crowd was very pumped.

could not help but notice the little neil young nods for me tonite: ed, on stage with a bunch of guitars layed around him (how psyched i was to see that white stratocaster!), the dual "speakers" on both sides of ed and the roadies in white coats scream out of rust never sleeps. the reel to reel "ocean sounds" in some songs were very cool as well.

i was in the right/center orchestra, row s. pretty much dead center a few seats from the center asile. thank you again ten club, by far the best seats i've had!

the scorekeeper was very much needed. :) i remember something similar from night 1 in philly.

i was worried before the show that it was going to be a mostly "uke" thing and it really wasn't. the instrument is really unique. i think i may even purchase the album now! lol.

for me, broken heart, sometimes, i am mine, unthought known, arc, small town, porch, and hard sun to close were the highlights.

i thought the crowd was awesome, for the most part pretty respectful from where i was sitting. i heard one of the bartenders outside serving exclaim "wow everyone is so nice tonight!" and yes, the camera nazis were out in full force up and down the rows. very annoying.

oh, and there so was a "hidden mickey" on ed's suitcase...anyone else notice?

    great show, thanks again ed.
