    I actually had a news woman ask me tonight why I decided to help and asked how I felt about searching.... I really wanted to suggest she put down her microphone, take off the high heels, and join in. Seriously - are Journalist really trained to ask these kinds of questions?

    Call for help from those of you in Indy or other nearby cities! The volunteer search is continuing every day, 3 times a day. Come on down and come dressed for searching the wooded areas. Flip flops seem to be very popular with the volunteers - but wow - with this heat and humidity - and the areas we're going into - can't imagine flip flops would feel good.

    You're doing a great thing by helping. I only wish I was closer to join you. Man do I feel for this family, I can't imagine my child being lost and feeling so damn helpless. I pray she is found soon and is safe.

    Search continued last night with police check points asking for information from drivers around 4-4:30 this morning which would be about the time she went missing. We are continuing today 11am, 2 pm, and 5:30. Parks were searched again yesterday.     The family is still very optimistic they will find her so keep up the good vibes and hope. If you are wanting to help but aren't physically close enough to do so, sending cards to the IU Hillel center would be awesome too. They will be able to get them to the family. They have received a lot of support from local businesses too and are so happy to have the continued support

    Nothing so far, no strong leads. It's difficult to be optimistic about the situation but I personally am trying as hard as possible! Hopefully a lead emerges soon.

    We got a fax about this at work with all the info and her picture, and I live in CT. I did the only thing I could, put it up on our wall where patients and co-workers can see it.
    Best to all the searchers and prayers out to her family.

    I've been there since Tuesday. There are so many things being reported it's unreal. Now that they have the additional specialty groups there it's that much more amazing. I've not been online to update here because I've been pretty much living at the volunteer headquarters as a co-admin for getting the volunteers organized and deployed. The family is absolutely wonderful and their friends... they have a wonderful support network there. Robbie (Lauren's dad) told me yesterday - what an amazing support network we all have here in Bloomington. People are coming in from all over, many of them repeat volunteers that show up each day for more searching.

    Keep the hope alive - Robbie and Charlene are not giving up and neither are we.

    The family created a website http://www.findlauren.com that you can sign up for to get updates too.
