*raises hand* I get it from my sister, from my teachers, and my closest friends.

Dude you were born a year before they came out, they sound like shit, he mumbles. All of this shit.. I just wish that they can open their ears, and see what it's all about.

Did you ever wish that you can turn everyone into a fan? Because you enjoy it so much, that you cant understand why others dont?

    I don't get shit so much-more i'm desensitised....

    I have loved them for so long and have such a passion for the band, that I have no idea the extent to how well known they are/or arent.

    I was talking to someone a few months ago about PJ, and they turn around and say, "Who's Pearl Jam?". :eek:

    I have met quite a few people who don't know who they are, even though I just assume that everyone would know? :confused:

    Well I mean where I live, Staten Island all the younger kids are into Rap Hip Hop, and pop rock. So no one truly appreciates REAL GOOD rock and roll anymore. I feel im doing a good deed in the PJ community keeping the spirit alive among the young masses lol.

    oh and yes, i got so much shit from my 11th grade history teacher.     Interesting. I feel like I get "true fan" cred for still keeping up with them. But I'm 28 so most of my friends remember when they were on MTV.

    As I posted on another thread, anyone who was born around when Pearl Jam formed but likes their music is like Eddie Vedder liking The Who. They're still a band, they still kick ass, and they're becoming rock legends. I give you props for finding them, which apparently was hard for you (since your friends don't know them). I found them on MTV which was easy. You win. It's not your fault you're young.

    My hubby is "done" as far as PJ and Ed are concerned. He is soooo sick of hearing the music, seeing pics, and watching DVDs. Last night we were watching a movie (The Lookout) and a Yield poster was in it, so I let out a *little* whoop, which startled him and he said, "What happened?" I said, "Look, there's a Yield poster!" He just shook his head and sarcastically said, "The signs are everywhere....wow!"

    My oldest daughter is head over heels with Ed since EV NY2, so I get no guff from her. The middle daughter thinks I'm obsessed and it's a bad thing. The youngest daughter likes PJ and Ed, but is so in love with her boyfriend that she doesn't pay too much attention to what I'm doing these days.

    My favorite kind of people are other PJ fans, so they usually understand the insanity.

    Yeah, well I started because my father has TEN VITALOGY VS NO CODE YIELD.. but I was a casual listener when he would put them on in the car.. I started to REALLY REALLY become true, die hard in Feb of 05 when he died.. I went thru his cd's and saw multiple cd's with PJ's name, and said hmm Ive heard them now lets see why he liked them.. he wasnt a DIE HARD fan, but he liked their sound. Credit to him.
