I always felt like if I tried to friend him on Facebook he would deny my request as I am from an earlier part of his life, which is very different now.....and I think he probably felt/feels the same way about friending me on Facebook.............anyway, I found it "endearing" (is that the right word?) when he emailed me and said he was "stalking my facebook"............lol. I have issues........., I know.
I've Never gone on Facebook but there Should be a 'Little Red Box' in the UPPER RIGHT Corner...That should solve your Problem!...:)0 -
my ex GF tracked me down. first on myspace, then on facebook & twitter. we're both married---i am happily married for almost 4 years & she has 2 kids now. she always says stuff like "i wish i was with you"...or "you were the true love of my life." at first, i felt bad b/c i certainly don't look back at our relationship that way. after all, i ended it. so, my responses were polite at first....
then she started sending more & more. we live in different states, but she somehow got my cell # & would call & hang up. maybe she doesn't know that iPhones tell you the location of the call? :? after i repeatedly denied her friend requests & asked her to stop contacting me, she persisted.
so, late last year she sent me a message on FB saying that she was coming to Texas to see me & that her husband didn't know about it. again, i did NOTHING to lead her on or to encourage this behavior. it was crazy!!! i responded by saying "i have a facebook message drafted. if you send me one more message, i'm sending this message to your husband. in this message, he will see all of your previous messages and my responses. leave me alone. we broke up over 10 years ago."
her response..."oh. sorry to have bothered you then. best of luck with life."
ummm...... :?

That's great that you haven't heard from her since.... That's a little creepy.
My Opinion.... Ex's are Ex's for a reason. Doesn't matter if it was a year, 2, 5, or 10 ago when it ended, it ended for a reason. So two words Delete and Block! The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols0 -
I ignored the ex's friend request, but we are both connected on FB to our sons. it actually provides an easy method of sharing pictures of the boys. and because of the kids, we have more actual contact (phone and in person just about everyday). but yeah, I would not want to connect directly. actually freaked me out when my mom found me on FB0

I ignored my ex's request... It was many years ago, but we had a good relationship and didn't have a messy break up. We were friends for a while afterwards and then drifted apart when I changed jobs.
We had a lot in common and were better friends than boyfriend/girlfriend, but I am happily married now and just didn't feel the need to rekindle that friendship. I guess I did it more so to avoid any drama with my wife, but there was really no good reason to accept the friend request. My whole life

I've got my most recent ex as a friend on facebook. We share all the same friends, so I see her all the time (along with her new guy). I've blocked her from my newsfeed. I don't need to know what's going on with her at all. But when it comes to planning parties and events I may need to communicate with her, and I like using the less personal route with her.
Another ex tried to add me a few months ago. We literally haven't spoken since the day Riot Act was released. There's no reason for me to accept at all. I think she just wants to boost her friend count.0 -

Is there a reason to share friends? He got those in the mediation...
I am making my own friends.
My ex friends only want to talk about his new girl.
I just want to know how my cat is..
My ex mother in law tries to talk to me about how much she wants me back and she hates this new girlfriend.
Now I can't talk to any one..
Don't go back in time. I have a list.. One side are things I miss.. the other side is stuff I couldn't live with.
One side is way longer. Maybe you still love her?0 -

Exes are the past, and one should always try and live in the present. People should stay away from exes; trouble always comes otherwise, one way or another, usually with current relationships of at least one party. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0
