I spoke with Stonewalls and they are unable to help out ... They have a advertising/marketing deal with Y108 the local radio station as the "official" pre-party spot for all Copps concerts with live to air broadcast there all day. He told me they had to turn people away before the RUSH concert this spring.

There are a few other places that area large enough to accommodate a large group-
The Honest Lawyer http://www.honestlawyer.com/UE_hamilton.php it is part of the Jackson Square/Copps/Convention centre complex there....
Slainte Irish Pub -33 Bowen Street - http://www.slainteirishpub.ca is about a 15-20 minute walk but a nice large pub with 2 floors
Tailgate Charlie's - 69 John St S http://www.liquidkitty.ca next door to Slainte 15-20 minute walk to Copps
There is also all the bars at Hess Villiage which is a 10 minute walk but most of them are smaller and may not be large enough.

Any suggestions from anyone else? I will reach out to these 3 places to see if they are willing to work with the Wishlist Foundation - although it is a bit more of a walk I think Slainte would be a great option - great food and lots of beers on tap.

I should be able to help out with Hamilton. I also know a nice large Bar/Restaurant http://stonewallshamilton.com/ it is about 4 blocks from Copps. I know the owner and I will talk to him about helping The Wishlist out.

That would be super.... do yo know how many people it can hold? I can't commit to organizing this event because we'll be driving the 6 hours back from Ottawa, but we'll have all the fundraiser merch... so if you could help arrange the venue that would be amazing!

I am pleased to announce that we have a charity lined up for the Calgary party. The Doorway. This is an organization that helps transition youth from the streets to finding thier way in the world. I am very excited to be working with them on this fundraiser.

    hey fellow Montreal jammers!

Nothing is sure yet but i'm working on it for the Montreal preshow party fundraising with Demetrios!! We didn't have any respond from our emails so i decided to stop by yesterday!

Pretty sure it's gonna be at McKibbin's, (http://www.mckibbinsirishpub.com/index.php)
a really cool irish pub, about 10min by walk from the Cell Center, (http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Mckib ... =prev&z=16) who plays really good music(BTW they already offer to play some more PJ without me asking for it!;)) ! I already spoke with 2 managers, but I'm waiting on the official confirmation of the owner, whos calling me back on monday! Both we're pretty confident about the event!

So, fingers crossed and I'll let you know on monday!

***EDIT*** wouhouuuuuuu already got a phone call from a manager, it's confirmed; Montreal Pre Show party will be at there place!!! We'll keep you in touch!

So is the venue for Vancouver a go for sure? Or are you still waiting on it? They still might ask for an upfront fee. :?
