If someone wants to volunteer to take the lead on the Sunday trip that would be awesome. PM me and I will give you the point of contact. This has to be prepaid so would be taking a slight risk. I have faith it the PJ family though. I will be willing to put Saturday's trip on my card if someone will take Sunday. The price now is about $750 for a bus that will hold 40-50 people. I figured about $20 a person but if people don't want to leave that early and only 20 people show up for the bus, that is the risk we are taking.
Added: Just called the bus company again. The $750 is for the bus and Alpine charges $100 for bus parking. That price is not included in the $750. So $850 would be the total. Just more to consider.

Looks like a preparty is being setup in Lake Geneva, about 10 miles away. Is anyone in Delavan interested in going to Lake Geneva or would people rather stay close to the hotel. Just would like some input and thoughts.
think it would be nice to go to the local bar...we cant met everyone in such a short time...but would soon get to know the people staying in the super 8..imo
and its going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng weekend why start if off 10miles away from bed

ha! Chris & I will play somewhere at some point that weekend. who knows where though? :?:
good points...we may all feel like staying close to the hotel.
Awesome, I got a great idea. I contacted a small sports bar about 4 blocks from the Super 8. Talked to the manager/owner and he can hold about 125-150 people. He has 2 pool tables, 4 dart boards and a jukebox. Friday night for him is karoake night. I say we go to a close place like that. He said he would love to host our group if it wasn't too big. Domestics are $3 and tap beer is $1.50. I can call him and since we would be giving him so much business maybe he could put the karoake on hold for an hour and let Matt and Chris play. How does that sound. He seemed very interested in getting our business. Just let me know and I will set it up. I really don't want to invite everyone because we can't all fit. Would be cool to meet everyone from the hotel though. Any thoughts???

You posted just ahead of me. What is the name of your place? Should we call the others from my list? I like your idea of only 4 blocks. A lot of will be traveling in and tired, and still have two long concert days ahead of us.

It's called New Horizon's. She also recommended Sports City but it is more hip hop. Talking to this guy made me think it was kind of a hole in the wall type place. He said he would really enjoy our business. He said he could seat about 75 but most people would be walking around shooting pool, darts and whatever.

VIP was renamed Sports City. New Horizons is 9/10 of a mile from the hotel. We can call and see who wants our business. We have plenty of time. I just don't feel like traveling all day then driving to Lake Geneva. The closer to the hotel the better for me.

Hi,
I would rather just stay close to hotel....Going to have be up pretty earlier Saturday morning...So, better off staying close to the hotel...I am down for going to a bar and meeting up with fans....
I really like the idea of meeting the cluster of people staying at this place. But a llot of people will be at the end of a long day of traveling.

We've got two long days and nights ahead of us.
Plus
There is the "spouse" factor- My Wife is always game for Pearl Jam but will want to turn in earlier Friday.
Plus
New Horizons is 1.1 miles away. A Perkins and variety of fast food places are within a couple of blocks.
I called the night clerk tonight for advice and he was clueless about anything. I think the day-timers are a bit sharper.
The pictures of this place shows there is a large conference/meeting room with tables. Why don't we just reserve that room, and BYOB, order in pizza or bring food or whatever people want from the nearby establishments. People can come and go as they please.

I would prefer the already large Super 8 international crowd to meet in one of those places so it's a quick trip home, no DUIs.
There can be a Delavan party, a Lake Geneva Party, a Burlington party etc.

Ill have my own 3 day party at the hotel, and at the shows......
