  • Are there civilians that are not innocent!?

You mean to say that all those people deserved to die just because they were Serbs?

I don't think the Pope would want to meet a criminal..

Well, I think you need to inform yourself a bit more about the Vatican and the popes.

And all under the watch of the USA, they helped Croatia prepare for the offensive and they kept a watchful eye as it happened..
    And...?

'We' are actively 'helping' the rebels in Libya. Should the rebels commit crimes whilst taking cities/towns loyal to Gaddafi, is that OK because the population may be loyal to a dictator? No.

What else has been done 'under the watch of the USA'? Hmmm......

The man was such a genocidal monster that Pope John Paul met with him.....

popes have a history of not intervening and not publicly denouncing things.
pope pius xii said or did virtually nothing during the holocaust.

You raise a valid point and this was also raised amongst a number of groups as to why no US official was even implicated in the judgement (under the same 'rules' as others). A line of thought is saying they should have been.

Not just 'not intervening'... rather actively protecting and aiding mass murderers such as Pavelic and many others.

You disgust me, stop talking about what you have no idea about in effect pissing me off.
What did you want, us to sit there and watch our towns be taken over, houses occupied, churches burned to the ground, women get raped and beaten, men shot in the head?
Maybe one day if your country gets invaded you will understand why such a military operation is necessary to liberate your country and your people. I hope you don't have to experience it but until then shut the f*** up.

As soon as I saw it was a Sedlar film, I didn't - I've seen 'in four rows'. Unfortunately, his films are propaganda (and are well known as such), which was well favoured by Tudman (who, by the way, if he were still alive, would have been tried with the others). Really, not a way to 'educate' yourself as to the conflict in former Yugoslavia, as much as you may wish to think so.

I am not going to sit back and let my country and my people be dragged through the mud.
I cannot believe the Hague and many others consider what happened to be a 'civil war'.
Hang on, we declared independence, the UN, USA, Germany, Australia and other nations recognized Croatia as an independent country, soon after the Serbs attacked us, so how is this a civil war?
For General Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac to be made out to be just as guilty as Milosevic, Karadzic, Mladic is an absolute sick joke. Did Gotovina and Markac order mass executions and rapes?
The whole of Croatia see them as heroes, my mum shed tears when the sentences were handed out and so did many others around the world. I attended a rally in the city on Sunday night and there are more being organised around the world.

    Read the pdf document....

P.S how could you even consider Tudman to be guilty of any crimes?

No one is dragging your country or your people through the mud. Just holding a couple of people accountable for their crimes. Their actions have been judged by a court.

In the same way as the other two are.

    Not Guilty!
All Croats are protesting, I guess we are all supporting criminals according to all you guys.

Ex President Mesic sold Gotovina to the Hague so Croatia can be granted entry into the EU.
Mesic is married to a Serb, his father was a Partizan who murdered Croats.
Carla Del Ponte's husband is Serb, I wonder why she is so hot on the Croats case

Croats living in serbia were genocided
Serbians living in Croatia the same thing
    very wrong on all sides
    Mothers are mothers
    fathers are fathers
son and daughters are sons and daughters
where ever they come from everyone is the same. WE JUST PUT STUPID FUCKING LABELS ON EACH OTHER

What genocide did we commit?!!!! :x
Defending our country which was being invaded? :x
According to your interpretation any country that defends itself is committing genocide.

    not really.

i know very little about the Croatian/serbian conflict so i won't go into that, but by what you are saying the Taliban are technically "only defending their country" which was invaded by the coalition, so does it make it right for them to kidnap u.n workers or private contractors driving trucks full of supplies and decapitate them??

no. i don't know what these two did that the news story is talking about, but if they ordered these type of acts then yes, they should serve jail time, like the ones from the other side who as you say "raped and murder and planted land mines" to kill innocent parties should also be put to trial and serve jail time.

but yeah, that's all i got to say as in know none of the history of this particular war.
    condescending and sarcastic since 1980
  • I am not going to sit back and let my country and my people be dragged through the mud.

Nor your country or your people are being dragged through the mud.

What we are saying here is that it has to be acknowledged that people from the other side suffered too.

The Taliban and Croats you cannot compare.
We were living in peace when we declared our independence, the Taliban do horrible things to their own people thus leaving the world with no other choice other than to step in.
The power hungry Serbs decided to invade, we took military action to drive them back and for that we are now guilty in the Hagues eyes.
