We all seem to have personal sad and traumatic stories. From this conflict, I have some from the Croat, Bosnian, Serb and Kosovan side. Same kind of stories, same sadness in the end.
Edit: my quoting going all wrong!
The international community fucked up this conflict royally...The US(My country) sat under Bush Sr not wanting to get involved. But he was more than happy to assist Kuwait around that time....I wonder why???? If someone comes to your town not playing by the rules of engagement....its time to take off the white gloves and take care of business. If the Croats stayed put....things would be different now0 -

Actually...I don't know when it was more "fucked up"...before or after the "international community's" intervention!0 -
^ I know what you mean...I was 10 or 11 in the early 90's. I went with my parents to the UN as a sign of solidarity with the those looking for a peaceful solution. What I meant was...its funny what a country like the US(World Police) sees as an oppurtunity to help. It usually has oil in that country.
Bush and Baker etc. didnt want to set foot in a civil war. Yet Jr. and his boys act like potential for a Iraqi civil war was never there...yea right. Sorry to compare 2 different conflicts, but I feel its relative to the big picture
Libya is a civil war(oil) we are there, involved. How bout Darfur...I guess its not a place we can be for 50+ years with military bases and no bid contracts0 -

Defending our country which was being invaded? :x
According to your interpretation any country that defends itself is committing genocide.

Watch all 6 parts, A to F then get back to me once you have learned a bit before labeling my people guilty of genocide, the same goes for all you others that are uneducated on what happened, don't let those idiots at the Hague tell you what to believe. :roll:Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

The pope has audiences with lots of 'heads of states' and others. Peres... Netanyahu... Also looking at the history of the Vatican (closest to us WWII), it's VERY murky (remember 'ratlines, Pavelic'?). An audience with the Pope really doesn't mean anything.
Look, it would seem you have a very personal 'tie' to this subject. But one needs to be a bit more objective... a crime is a crime - whoever commits it. Once needs to be held accountable.0 -

I don't think the Pope would want to meet a criminal.
Could you please tell me what crime Gotovina committed?
Defending his homeland from forces that invaded, raped and murdered many innocent Croatian civilians?
And all under the watch of the USA, they helped Croatia prepare for the offensive and they kept a watchful eye as it happened.
Please do not let the media tell you what to believe, watch that documentary I posted earlier then get back to me.
And yes I do have a very personal tie to this subject.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140
