Chelsea FC's Spanish right back has the best nickname in the Premier League at the moment. Because his name is so difficult for some fans to sing, César Azpilicueta is better known on the terraces as... Dave!

Pavel Bure while with the Canucks was "The Russian Rocket". Not exactly creative, but it did the job.

I guess I meant the name.... but he was a massive superstar to Canucks fans, so him too I suppose! (Unless that was some kind of penis reference, in which case I just don't know  ).

The Canucks picked him up 6th round in the draft. Before that he played for a Russian league team. So unless the Russians named him that, pretty sure he got the name when he got to the NHL. I could also be wrong, but it makes a bit more sense.

Okay, so he was named that when with the Canucks, since it was the first NHL team he played on. tongue0015.gif
