What pisses me off is that it costs me way more to buy healthy ingredients to make healthy meals than it does to buy Maccas.

cause taters and cheap burger meat are pretty cheap

I guess I should not make a healthy Greek salad for lunch anymore, $30 for all the ingredients.

Well I will attempt to answer your question.... Simply my opinion... so...

What you can not deny is that for some people, eating is an addiction. And I would say for obese people that would be a high percentage. And when a high percentage of the population is obese then I think it would be safe to assume that a large percentage of people are addicted to eating. And when you make more unhealthy food easily accessible then it is not helping these people with an eating addiction.

If you have the will power to say no... Like it appears that you, like so many others here appear to have, then you needn't worry.

Don't worry pjfan31 I got your back soldier.
    Death to McDonalds.
    Burn it down!
Turn those big golden arches around the globe into charcoal.
I am also planning an assassination attempt on Ronald McDonald.

yep... prescription is prescription... so that is a bit silly to raise that... but obviously that is governed my strict laws as it is.

And alcohol of course it should... I love a drink, but alcohol related violence and incidence is on the rise so it should be strict...

But according to your logic... You would be more than happy to have a sale in one of your gun crazy states 200 bullets for 10$ or buy 500 for $8... So when some kid goes on a rampage you can say 'at least he got a good buy at wallmart'

no. "pain management clinics" hand out highly addictive prescription meds ordered by unscrupulous Dr.'s without any sort of thorough diagnosis. Alcohol producers are just as bad. Making alcoholic energy drinks? WTF??!?!?!

As an alky, its not for me to say YOU cant have ready access to imbibe as you see fit. My alcoholism isnt your problem to deal with. its mine. The fact that I would abuse script meds and street drugs isnt your problem to deal with either. That one is on me too. As another poster stated , PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

As for walmart. I'm gonna leave that one alone. I resent your sweeping genalization. You dont know where I reside, what MY views are related to this subject. Take that shit and this entire thread to AMT where it belongs.

BTW , we were following the logic in your opinion, bud.

if i say no or yes depence how hot is the girl working at McDonalds... 8-)
Hot girls work at McDonalds? Since when?

Last time I ate there was about a year ago. I was in the mood for garbage. It was pretty nasty. I guess it is a matter of what you are used to. I usually eat a burger once every month or two, but they are high quality. It is like beer for me, ever since I started drinking the good stuff (micro breweries and the Belgian abbey beers) I have a hard time drinking mass produced generic stuff.
Still can't believe I met Mike Mccready at the Guggenheim and got a pic with him!!!!!

Exactly mate... I wonder how I am supposed to respect the thoughts and feelings of others, when clearly my thoughts here were not respected... I expressed an opinion that got shot down in flames. The old one rule for one, another for another.

I freely admit what I posted about walmart was a massive generalisation... and may not be entirely appropriate so I apologise.

no, I dont think you were disrespected. Just disagreed with.
As for my own posts in this , I fail to see where I was disrespectful. If I was in your mind that please show me how.
Do you see the point anyone else was making? I agree with you to a point. just because someone CAN do/get something , doesnt mean they SHOULD.

pjfan31, I do understand your point. I think that the fast food industry is partially to blame for the obesity epidemic because it is cheap, fast, and easy (and generally unhealthy). I don't think there's any way around that because those qualities are exactly what make it successful. :( Sure, it's also personal responsibility, no doubt, but they have clever marketing strategies that make the eyes bigger than the stomach.

yeh mate, I see others points. Basically saying it is up to the individual and its good business by selling things cheap and I get it and appreciate it. But at the end of the day, when obesity is a massive problem (pardon the pun) big corporations have to be more responsible in my opinion... its kind of like all this carbon pollution.. people have to be more socially aware.. Am I saying for maccas to shut there doors? no... What I am saying is that they shouldn't make being obese easier and cheaper...

As for people and disrespect toward me... I was simply expressing an opinion/'my view' which got shot down in flames...

We should just agree to disagree.

So are you saying that they should have 2 prices :D , one for the weight challenged and one for those where a little mcdonald's does not hurt them :D, then who would decide who get the cheaper food :D:wink:.
