Its sucks and I'm pissed and thats all.

But at the same time how shitty does it feel when you live in whereverthefuck and no bands ever come to where you live yet huge bands play NYC all the time.

Hopefully, anyone that agrees with the OP of this thread never told anyone to travel to see PJ and not just expect them to play their area.

well Pearl Jam should only play in New York because New York is the be all end all of America.

Truth is that city wouldn't be shit if it weren't for the 'corn fed shmucks' that visit it. They should really be kissing our asses for risking our lives to travel there and fuel that city's economy. But arrogance blinds people

i've been to many shows outside of NY so i don't agree with this thread (even though i missed out on MSG2) but MSG DOES mean more to NYers than non NYers. we go to games and concerts there ALL the time. we've seen the rangers win a cup there, we've seen LJ's 3 point play there, etc. MSG is our arena and pearl jam loves to play it. so when they come around and miss out it sucks. i understand that anyone can go and love that people want to come and enjoy the show here with us. but to say that it doesn't mean more to a lot of us is just wrong. half these people are going on heresy alone. they've never even been to the garden how can it mean something to them?

Let me try to give the NYers a vibe that us non-NYers are feeling:

What you're saying (NYers): We like the venue because it means a lot to us and we have great memories there

What we're hearing (everyone else): You aren't allowed to experience what I have. You don't deserve it. Stay in your cities and let us do our thing.

It sucks you got locked out of the presale. The shows aren't completely sold out. Why be upset? Other people, maybe even with lower 10c #s, can't get a good seat at "your" shows?

Well it's the most convenient place for me to see them and hell it's MSG...I can't travel all over the country but if you can good for you.

oh i agree, im not upset. well, im upset that i didn't get the tickets but i understand the system and am not complaining. i know i can score a seat through ticketmaster and will do just that. i was just pointing out to that guy who said MSG means the same to everyone that i find that hard to believe.

I didn't speciflcally say PJ plays NY all the time (I said huge bands play NYC all the time), but either way they have still played NYC a hell of a lot more times then they have played any place I have ever lived (by my count at least 20 times, they have only played places I live twice and one of those times I was 13, they played in a bar and were still called Mookie Blaylock).

if you guys end up starting threads over the next 3 months about how you can't make it and asking if you can transfer the tickets to someone else.......you should be banned from new york state for the rest of your lives

i'm not bitter as i got tickets to both shows, but i really feel for my fellow new yorkers who got shut out today. having to pay over face for a show in your hometown sucks.

I am sure the local businesses just hate when people come from other cities and leave their dough in NYC.

Always good to look at the big picture, my friend.

No, I don't think you got ovechkin8's original post before he start talking like a NYC jerk. :p
He said if a non-NYer gets the tix and then weeks and weeks after realized they can't make it to the show then that's fucked for those who got shut out; which I agree with. If you got 10C tix you better NOT be asking to sell them or transfer because you can't make the trip.

what do you want them to do? Sometimes shit comes up. and if that did happen, it's not like they'd stand outside the venue, get the tickets, grab a video camera, and tape themselves lighting the tickets on fire laughing the whole time. Would you rather them do that than transfer or sell them to someone who got shut out?

Take a leap New York trash.... those of us in the cultured Midwest obviously have a deeper appreciation for anything you've ever puzzled over.

We're not cornfed either...thats all going to Ethanol to help fuel your big city congestion!

Listen, I went to Wembley from NYC last year, and I am still pissed off that people from Ireland got tickets for MSG and I didn't.

your grasp on what the word "history" means is a fucking joke. yeah the teams suck here now. is the city full of 10 year olds? no, most of us have been in that building during some of its most amazing moments. what would be ironic is if you are actually flying out here to see the show. that would be too good to be true.
  • some of you new yorkers are just too much. not only do you personally feel like the world begins and ends with that little island of yours...but if others don't agree, you come down on them as well.

i don't know, but it reeks of insecurity.

theres thousands that tried for tickets today, and only a few hundred got lucky. try being happy for someone else for once. it feels good, trust me.
