You would think that, but in both the Providence and Boston public sales people were getting fantastic seats. I got 12th row for Boston that way and I've read a bunch from people who will be sitting in front of me. So there is reason to be curious. Not concerned because there are no bad seats in the Wang and I bet PPac is the same, but curious.

i guess i'm not curious since it's the same at every show for the last 10 years..

i'm more curious why people think this would be any different

I don't know about you but I have not had much luck pulling first five, ten, or fifteen row tickets through public onsales in the TM/LN era. Yet that seemed to happen for most everyone who tried for tickets to Boston and Providence. Those are the seats you would think would be going to 10C, but in this case it doesn't look like they did. Therein lies the curiosity. So we'll see next week.

I have an extra pair (together) for EV Providence on 6/15:
    2nd Dress Circle, Center Section, Row S, Seats 107 & 108.
Hard tickets in hand, face + fees = $175, PM if interested.
PayPal would be easiest (but not exclusive) for me, thanks! :)

PPAC is not a Ticketmaster/Live Nation venue. The tickets for the second "10c Presale" was directly through the PPAC's site, as was the public onsale. Hartford was the same. I believe The Bushnell and PPAC are owned and operated by the same company. Invoices, Tickets, etc...everything looks the same... Not sure about Boston tho. But that is how people got decent seats...they got around the TM/LN monopoly.

As for all EV shows, they are not seniority based. 10c seats are selected randomly throughout the venue. So it is very possible that someone who got their tix thru either the venue's "10c presale" or their public onsale, got better seats than someone who managed to get their tix thru the 10c presale here on this site. Which sux. Especially considering what everyone went through to get their tix....

    One week to go!!! :D

Boston was the same. The Wang Center had their own ticketing operation. It was a BREEZE to get tickets.

    One more week! Can't wait!

i agree that i've not had much luck getting great tix through the public sales... but there's always one or two people who are successful... I got row 2 to boston 04... so i know it can be done

as for "most everyone" pulling rows 5, 10 and 15 this time around? i just don't agree... maybe you're hearing more about it due to more people being online... or maybe your circle was more lucky than usual...

i think the venues not being ticketmaster may have helped a little

but... my guess/hope is that 10c got a chunk of great and good seats... and interspersed are some public ones

as i type this i realize that we're both assuming... and therefore have no facts to back our points

as you said... we'll see next week

"Most everyone" is probably a bit of an overstatement. It did seem like more than usual, but you are right, it can't have been everyone.

Are you going to any of the preparties? I am determined to actually say hello and introduce myself to people this year rather than just drink in the corner as usual. Hope to bump into you in Providence or Boston.
