I'm in for Providence and Hartford.

I'm organizing the Providence Wishlist fundraiser. Looking at having it benefit Artists for Justice & Peace and possibly the local Girls Rock chapter. PM me if you have donation items for the raffle & auctions please.

Working on having it at the Trinity Brewhouse, stay tuned for official location soon.

I can tell you that there will be lots of cool stuff available to bid on, raffles, auction and maybe even some live music. PM me if you want to perform or be a helper.

Coming in from Fort Lauderdale for three nights. Would like to shoot down to Newport on Thursday morning for the day. Any suggestions on the best way to get there and back for the day. Bummed that the ferry isn't running. First time to RI. Wanted to do Boston on the 28th but committed to U2 on the 29th :)

I have one spare, if anyone knows of someone that might need one...
I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream...
If I knew where it was I would take you there.

There's really no good way to get to Providence from Newport quickly. Either you go Mt. Hope Bridge through Bristol, Bragga through Fall River, or Newport Bridge through the rest of the state. Mt. Hope and Bragga are not toll bridges and it's $4 to cross the Newport Bridge.

    Where are you staying?

I would just take interstate 95 south down through Rhode Island, split off around exit 9 to Rt 1 around North Kingston, then get off RT 1 to RI-138 into Newport (you'll go over the Jamestown and Newport Bridges). I've never gone the Mt. Hope route.

Mt. Hope bridge route is more direct. Neither is really scenic, but in addition to fewer miles the Mt. Hope route will let you see more local flavor (or flay-vah, as they say here).

Newport is OK, but if you're into art and music stay in Providence. We have a bunch of cool independent record stores, bookstores, restaurants and the RISD museum is fantastic.

I recommend an afternoon on the West Side: grab a coffee at White Electric on Westminster St, stroll around the corner to B-Sharp Music (guitars and funky boutique guitar pedals) on Broadway, then head up the street to Armageddon Shop (vinyl, cd, and more...specialize in metal and punk) and a bit further to Analog Underground (curated record collector shop), then hit Julian's for lunch or dinner (locally owned and operated semi-hipster excellent food and drink with art gallery).

Only go to Julian's if you're not planning on being anywhere for a while, there food is really good but they take FOREVER. That being said I haven't been there in a while and would really like to go back.
Also... I'm so glad I got tickets so no one can take my spot. :D

I'll be home for 10 days this summer, and the tour lined up perfectly.

    Section 1 Row A Seats 105 and 107. Awesome.

3 PJ shows under my belt, but this will be my first Eddie show. Well worth the 3 hour drive from Albany. Can't wait!

Today, i consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.

Looks like some of you all got some great seats earlier at the 2nd chance. Makes me super anxious about what the TC will hand me the day of the show!!!

But in all reality the PPAC is great from anywhere.
