I thought you were graduating this year? You still taking the summer off?
i'm graduating *technically* in august and i'm pretty sure next summer i'll be somewhere in the world earning a masters in early childhood education. so this summer might be my official last summer to be a 20 something with no obligations.

Why would you need an electrical outlet to blow up an air mattress?

    No kids.

    Kind of figured :-)

I'm closing in on 34 with a 2 year old. Makes going on those multiple day excursions a bit more challenging. We will probably try to get away for a couple of days to see an Ed show if he plays reasonably close to us, but Alpine is kind of out of the question.[/quote]

Challenging, yes, but just wait until he/she is older and you can take him/her with you. I took my ten year old son to see Linkin Park (his favorite ban) in January - we ended up on the front rail and had a great time!

For sure...this is just that weird in between age. We've left him with my parents for 1 night, but never multiple nights in a row. I think that might be asking too much of them at this point.

I can't wait till i can take him to a Pearl Jam show!

Unfortunately, none of my kids like PJ that much - weird, I know. But we have gone to Metallica, Green Day, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, STP, KOL

The oddest thing is seeing bands that I saw ~25 years ago, like Metallica and Iron Maiden, with my kids. It's kinda like doing Disney World and reliving the memories I had as a kid with them.

wow. i'd actually say you're the lame one. you judge me for using some of my left over pell grant to go to pj 20? what would be a good idea for me to use it on? please, i'd like to know. so far i've used some of it for school, some of it for a new computer (sorry, a great indulgence on my part i know, mine old was good enough. the screen was a bit broken and it took forever to load a page but what the hell.) and the little rest i had left i decided to treat myself with a little pj. i don't go out much and i've been through hell and back over the past year and i know you know nothing of me or the shit i've gone through to actually get that money but no, please, go ahead, please tell me what i should do with the rest of it. it's your money after all, so you tell me what i should do with it.

pearl jam fans make me not want to be a pearl jam fan.
