I was shaking too hard to write anything last night. We saw Sydney night 1, which was good, but night 2 blew me away. The best setlist of the tour so far, imo. Opening with Long Road, and you KNOW you are in for something special. Ed's voice was sublime. He was just completely on it last night. Thanks for Thumbing My Way! It has a very special meaning to me. And solo Crazy Mary was such a treat. I was in a trance the whole time, just amazed at Ed's stage presence. Came out of the theatre walking on a cloud, to stand in the rain and just soak it all in. 10c seats gave us row A in the balcony, which I wasn't terribly excited about until the show started and they turned out to give me an awesome perspective of the stage and I could just lean forward on the railing and drink everything in without any distractions.***We all Believe***0

Another awesome Vedder night - thanks ED.....Highlights last night were Long Road, Millworker and Crazy Mary. Was great to hear the stories Ed shared...
Bring on tonight final show for me and upfront yesssss.....Off He Goes - The Jammer0 -
In-fucking-credible evening! Two great shows so far in Sydney, no idea how he will top it tonight on the last Sydney show but it's gonna be great seeing him try. These shows fully justify the decision to fly over here.
Hanging out with ten clubbers from the four corners of the globe before and after the show he's been the icing on a delicious cake.Post edited by Paul Andrews on0 -

Not going to let the no poster thing ruin an amazing night.
Great seats, thanks 10c.
When the first strings of long road were strummed I almost wept, the song holds a lot of emotion for me anyway, never heard it live and Eddie nailed it. Amazing. As he gets older his voice seems to be getting better and better.
Cant Keep, Thumbing My way, and Golden State were all great but for me Better Days in which Ed's vocal performance was inspiring and I am a patriot were the other highlights for me. Even saying there were highlights in this show is difficult as I cant imagine a better set for an Ed solo show.
Society completely acoustic and solo now which was really nice.
The crowd were pretty good, a few idiots, but your gonna get that.
Mark Richards was right in front of me and there was plenty of interaction between Ed and Him.
A rocking Porch, Crazy Mary, RITFW and Hard Sun to close out the show. Thanks Ed, never in my life did I think I would see you solo and in a room like the State, well just perfect.Im not supersticious, Im just a littlesticious.0 -
I loved when Ed said
'America is like a used car. All shiny and looks good on the outside, but you open the hood and it's fucked'

Also with the dude he kept yelling out 'Hunger Strike' , and someone finally said 'shut up you idiot'. Ed's response was something like 'Yeah maybe that would be good if I was a ventriloquist (then he motioned a puppet with his hand singing the other vocal part). What do they say, no idea is a bad idea'. Great comeback - he always seems to say the right thing back to them. The guy didn't say a word after that.0

Just an amazing night.....again.
Long road was a dream come true and I loved a couple of the song pairings too .... the contrast of Just Breathe into Lukin and the "Drifting" duo of Driftin' and Parting Ways.

That guy was right infront of us, he didnt shut up after that bit with ed... he was constantly talking with his mate, made it harder to hear the music being played which was unfortunate. In general there was a lot of the chit chat stuff happening during non Pearl Jam songs.... Pretty frustrated with that. It was like he was on crack and some, and then his mate was a bit tanked and dropped his beer all over the place. Insane.
Anyway, I thought the show was good, Elderly Woman had an insane atmosphere to it, really really cool, but then around us it seemed like he lost some of the intimate feel when he went into some other tunes. Sad to see so many people get up and leave during Millworker to either take a leak or have a beer or whatever.
I agree with everyone on that Crazy Mary was a deadset highlight. Of the 3 shows I went to, I think this was probably ranked 3rd best for me, Newcastle and Syd 1 were better (those hard to pick which was better of those 2). Also loved hearing Cant Keep on the Uke, that was sweet. And as mentioned, Long Road was amazing!
Anyway, Thanks for the awesome times Ed, great shows and I wish I could have afforded to go tonight! Im jealous of everyone that can afford to travel around and view a lot of shows. Would be unreal. (I guess I am super super lucky seeing 3 as is, freaking amazing)!
Oh and last note... I loved Golden State each and every night, was really cool0 -
I love you 10c for the upgrade from Row M on Friday to Row B left of centre for this show. I couldn't believe it when I opened the envelope.
As for the show, what can I say, I'll be on a high for weeks to come. Long Road, Thumbing My Way, Better Days and Patriot were major highlights.0 -

What an AWESOME show - even better than last night, if that's possible!
Loved the variation in the set-list from the previous night - also loved that he brought out the harmonica and mandolin (Rise), and that version of Can't Keep on the Ukelele was brilliant!
SHUT UP, all you bogans!! I'm almost embarrassed to be an Australian, hearing that guy yelling out :x
Wishlist and Crazy Mary were a surprise treat for someone (like me) who's yet to see PJ live.0 -
I was moved to tears by Rise. It's like that mandolin just reaches inside your chest and sets your spirit free. I'm surprised there's not been more mention of can't keep on the uke, inspired by his earlier trip to Syd Uni manning bar and the cosmic psychos. Porch for me was a highlight too, i had to keep forcing myself to sit back down on the mezz level. but like a jack in the box i just kept popping up again. Same for RITFW. Can't wait to see what treats are instore for us kiddies tonight.0

EXCELLENT last show on my tour! The handshake with Ed 1st, the best seat I've had, the setlist, seeing his car go whizzing past when staking out the theatre after the show, drinks with 10c'ers & so much I've forgotten I'm sure. A fabulous tour, fabulous people & one hell of a fabulous man/musician!!!
Now, just trying to work out how to get my photos up here.....<hr>

I already posted about this over on the porch, but I still haven't come down from last night. Not only did we have front seats, but Eddie walked straight up to me at the front, crouched down, gripped my hand and said thanks. My response was "no, thank you for fucking EVERYTHING!". He then handed me his bottle of wine and said "pass it around".
I'll never forget last night, the venue was awesome, the setlist was incredible and Ed was better than I could ever imagine. To top it off with a moment I've dreamt of for 20 odd years still seems surreal.
Thanks again Eddie. Keep on rockin in the free world.0
