It's hard to tear yourself away from the horror of it. I've been mesmerized by the raw video of the tsunami coming in. It's been an awful year for disasters, but this is just relentless with the radiation threat on top of everything else. my brother lives in Guam. was on facebook with him friday morning. said the had a warning that got pushed back from 7 to 11. guessing that was pm since we spoke at about 5 our time. he's 14 hours ahead. Havn't heard from him what if any damage occured once it did hit. seemed largely unconcerned. said where he is at is 600 ft above sea level. He's Fire Chief of Andersen AF Base. Wow. And figure, with the time of day, lots of people were at work. No time to go home and retrieve anything _ or even if you're home, I'm assuming you run like hell.
The images that really blew me away were the ones showing the surge of debris flowing over fields. The velocity was amazing.

Every other country hates us, and when we will need help, who's gonna give it? Countries don't like us because as shitty as things might seem here, we have it better than most of the world. The United States is very arrogant.
