stunning vinyls so happy..i love this thread again..lol
I'm glad you like them. The 80s are a touchy decade, some people love them, other not so much.
I wasn't a fan but a student of mine has been selling me his vinyl collection in bits and pieces over the last couple of months and it is mostly 80s stuff and I've been really enjoying a lot of it. They are all in that condition, it is amazing how well he has kept them.
Hey, jshin and jamburger, I'm going away for a few weeks on 1st August, so if your vinyls STILL haven't arrived by then, I'll put you a second package in the post. It won't be anything special, I'm afraid, but it will be some compensation for the fact the it's taken so long for the postal services to do their job. I still think the original pacakges will arrive, especially as vduboise's arrived just a week or two ago, but I'll do it anyway cos I feel pretty bad about the service from here. It's my own fault as I didn't choose expensive postage because it is second hand vinyl and the cost of sending priority mail as astronomical. I didn't expect normal mail to take this long though.

No worries, pal. If it makes it here, cool. If not, next time. Enjoy your holiday!
Find your way under my name next time I list so I can help you correct this statement.
Elton John is awesome and always will be. Anyone who can do something like 'Funeral For A Friend' is alright by me.
I saw him at Bristol City a few years back and was in the front row right in front of the piano. After all, it's not tought to barge through a crowd of Elton John fans. He's got fingers like fat sausages but he sure plays a mean piano.
Grinderman - Mickey Mouse and the Goodbye Man
Patti Smith - Wave
Beatsteaks - 48/49
Thank you so much Leeze

Kev - Forgot to mention - your package to me reached New York on the 12th (5 days)... I wasn't home and it's been sitting at the post office waiting for me to pick it up since. This Saturday morning will be the first chance I've had to get there, so I'll post then.
Tim - PACKAGE ARRIVED TODAY!!! Only took 60 days according to the May 22nd post mark
Awesome selections!! I've never heard the McCartney II album so I'm looking forward to checking it out. I do already have Who's Next, but I doubt I'll be passing this along as this is a pristine-looking heavy pressing, different to the one I already have Just awesome, thank you very much!

Hi, glad it finally arrived. Three down, two to go! I guess jshin's will arrive very soon too, as I posted his before yours!
I'm happy you like the look of the records. Enjoy.
Wow, that was almost faster than lightning I received a lovely package full of awesome records from jamburger today! He sent them on July 15th, that was the fastest a package from the US ever reached me!
The package contained
The Dreaming - Kate Bush
90125 - Yes
King of America - The Costello Show (featuring Elvis Costello)
Live rhymin' - Paul Simon in concert
Thanks a lot, great selection  - I will be spinning all of them tonight
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!
Kev - Very cool sir! Wings Greatest Hits already made it around the turntable a couple of times and I am very familiar with The The. I've yet to listen to the Public Enemy single but will soon. I think someone's going to find that Ben Harper single in a future package though as he's just not my speed.
Matt - I think that Culture Club album might be paired up with that Ben Harper single, but the Credence album definitely makes it to the keep pile.
74)theserialthrilla world....but away on holiday for a week from friday so will have to post mine out when i return
Elton John and Barbra Streisand on their way
HA! I offered to send him a copy of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road to try and sway him over, only to learn he had it already. If that album can't convert him, nothing will.

If I remember correctly I believe I sent these. At least they appear to be from my collection.
That seems to be the fastest shipping to another country that ever happened to me  . Glad they arrived safe. Enjoy
