  • Don't agree with ed at all on this issue, but i will prob watch anyway. He has a right to his own opinion, as do all of us.

Thanks for the post. Actually, I believe a sixty minute show is actually 44-46 minutes when you subtract time for commercials.

My question about how long the show "60 Minutes" was, was not really a serious question.

And there are usually 4 segments and then Andy Rooney whines for about 4-5 minutes at the end.. So if there is an Eddie interview it will be anywhere between 9-12 mins...

Just a warning. 60 MIN will be on AFTER the The MASTERS is over. These live events run long every weekend, and 60 min ends up beginning sometimes 30-45 min later than expected. It happens every week during football season, and this is the biggest golf tournament of the year. SO if you are planning on being out and catching the show later, make sure you extend the viewing time.

By the way, for those of you driving while 60 minutes is on, there are some CBS radio affiliates that broadcast the show live in their markets. I can tell you that WBZ 1030 (Boston) radio carries the show every Sunday at 7, for those driving around.

I know what it is, just no idea what time it showed.
7 EST? so that's 4PDT right? (I'll be in LA by then).
probably won't see it then, but I'm sure it'll be up for share in no time :)

Will be nice to see what Ed says when he has time to expand..
  • I've been looking for a solid confirmation but there isn't anything on the net about this weekends show.

Hey Kat or Sea,do either of you have any knowledge of this?

I wonder if this will catch Bill O'Reilys attention? I remember Bruce Springsteen was on 60 Minutes, and I assume he has pretty similar views to Eddie Vedder. O'Reilly gave Springsteen a grilling on his show, saying it was Springsteen's responsibilty to come in and debate instead of preaching to the choir. I'ts quite interesting - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gD0PTQveMbA

I despise Bill O'Reilly, but bizzarely I think I agree with him on this issue about Springsteen, and I think you could apply it to Eddie Vedder as well.

you agree with what? that he has a responsibility to debate or his view of the war?
  • muppetmuppet Posts: 980
I agree with O Reilly that Springsteen has a responsibilty to come in and debate (maybe not on O Reillys show, because nobody really gets a say in). O Reilly can go fuck himself as far as his other opinions are concerned.

TV Guide doesn't have guests listed, but do acknowledge that it's been a topic before w/Donahue. I have a feeling it may be a follow up piece.

BTW, don't be surprised if Charlie Rose covers the same thing.
