imo by far the best comedy stuff ever and the show kept getting better and better. Complete genius. They had a lot more episodes in them.

As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a fan too.

It just didn't get ratings though, so I understand the cancellation. I used to watch it in high school, and I never met another person who had ever seen or heard of the show until around 2002 or so. It wasn't popular during it's original run but became a cult hit afterward.

In HBO's defense, they did try to promote the hell out of it, and during the final season even put it on the same night as Sex And The City to try and get it to a wider audience (although maybe not the right one) to get the ratings up.

    Mystery Science Theater 3000!

Actually just saw an episode the other night in a movie theater near me, Final Justice :D

"You think you can take me? Go ahead on. It's your move." I love that episode.

I love MST3K, but it was on for 11 years. It was cancelled too soon for our tastes, but it was on for a long time.

By the way, I'm watching "Werewolf" as I type this. That's a great episode too.

yeah true. Didn't seem like it was on for 11 years though. Felt more like 5 or 6. Then again I haven't seen every episode and got into MST3K in the mid-later years.

One of the local theaters near me palys MST3K episodes about every other month. The other night they had The Horrors Of Spider Island

Some of my favorites (Firefly, Deadwood, Freaks & Geeks, Undeclared, My So-Called Life) have already been mentioned.

Another show that was canceled far too soon is Profit. It was on Fox in the mid-90s and starred Adrian Pasdar (who was later on Heroes).

Profit is on DVD and I highly recommend taking a look.

    HBO's Carnivale.

Why would you get me excited about this epic battle between good and evil and then cancel right before it happens? Why HBO???

I liked that show too. But, i think you and I were the only ones.

Nope-me too & my wife. So there was a total of 4 viewers.
    Come on---that can work.
 I'm sure we could get a grassroots campaign going to bring it back

I'm convinced NBC did everything they could to kill this one, especially with that long break from Feb to May. I did see that the show is available on Netflix now, so I might go and rewatch the show.
