    May I propose a toast?... We see bands... We go and see shows... We see club shows... We see bigger shows... One thing that it's kind of easy to pick up on it... It makes me a little crazy... I wouldn't want to be guilty of it myself... I've got to tell you: You make a bunch of guys who are in a group... It feels so fucking good to have this opportunity to play music... It's very unusual... It's not lost on us for a second... Thanks to everybody in the back... For a guy who feels little weird drinking alone, this is a perfect antidote to it... This is very good... It's about as far as you can get from drinking by yourself... I forgot to share... Here... Cheers... I checked their IDs... Let's hear it for Simon... He just brought me another bottle... Thank you Simon... He's bartender/guitar tech... That's a good combination... We were talking in the back... Right when the show started, I don't know who or what group of people... Jeff apparently played the whole show halfway stoned cause of some big cloud that came up during the very first song... Then we figured out it came from Matt... Out of 140 songs, I don't know, a lot of songs that we played on this tour... This is one that hasn't been played yet... ~ Eddie Vedder

We appreciated being recognised by our peers... The part that was the most rewarding was seeing some old friends, seeing some old bandmates... Some people that we hadn't seen for quite a long time... In one case, we had our friend come up to Seattle... He came up... We only played a couple songs... The amount of shows that he got to play with us was fairly limited... Well, it looks like this week we're going to get to make up for that...
