One of them is for Mike McCready's guitars... I think there's two that carries our opinion along with us... Beginning of the tour there was just one... I understand that coming in and having opinion on the West Memphis 3 issue, which we've been involved with about 7 years, you might have a different opinion being here... I respect you allowing us to have our educated opinion on it as welll... You being from here you might have seen it from a different way... There was something that was reported in the last few months about this guy called Pete Townshend who's from The Who... Knowing him and knowing what he was involved in and knowing what he was trying to do which was actually help the situation that was access to bad things on the internet... They turned it around on him... Because he excessed one site while he was doing his research it turned around... So I'm just here to tell you that don't believe everything you read it turns out... He was let off with a caution and that just didn't make the news like the first thing that came out so appreciate it for letting me say that Pete is still our hero... Our all-time hero... I'm reloading"... And then the other sticker said "I went to hell but they kicked me out"... I haven't been reading a paper, if there's any local serial killer cases that's the fucking guy... Missoula 28/05/03 Jeff was just telling me about a local issue... There was a show in Seattle that we raised a bunch of money, and Jeff was able to earmark some money for a skateboard park... So, in order to do that you have to go through the normal situations... Go through the red tape, and the city council... That's what you have to do... Which is a good thing to get used to, because you as citizens can all participate in those kind of things and letter writing campaigns, and emailing campaigns... Believe me, if they get twenty letters on an issue, they actually pay attention... And the reason why, is because they don't normally get more than two or three because people think that things will get taken care of without even participating... But, twenty, thirty letters... A hundred letters... It does a lot, and they pay attention... Just as a reminder... We're talking about a hundred letters... There's seven thousand people here tonight... Look at the power in this room... If I now understand it correctly, that the skateboard park can be built, but in a way they're using it because... A few days ago, Jeff told me that on the cover of the paper, maybe a slow news day or something... They said that they're going to make it illegal to ride skateboards on the streets?... Hail, hail America... Free country... Let's drink to being free... I remember those bumper stickers "Skateboarding is not a crime", but that was fucking back in nineteen eighty something... It's the year 2003... The warriors that they're using these legal skateboard park to put it against that you can skate your way to school, or skate your way to work...
