What a boot. The band are on fire here and the boot shows. Oceans kicks the show off and then its an opening salvo of Severed Hand, Corduroy, Brain Of J (first time in 2006) and World Wide Suicide. Love Boat Captain and Gone bring the tempo down before Even Flow raises the bar. Matt's drum solo here is the best so far of the 2006 tour. There's thunderous versions of Satans Bed and Not For You and You Are sounds awesome. A brutal Rearviewmirror closes the main set.
The 1st encore is superb, Ed starts off talking about education and his former teacher Clayton Ligett and how when he received news of Clayton's death he was in the studio with Neil Young and the band recording Mirrorball. Learning upon the sad news, Ed goes into the studio and plays a note on his guitar over and over. As Ed tells the crowd this he starts into Long Road. Come Back follows with Small Town and Crazy Mary. Crown Of Thorns and Alive close the 1st encore.
The 2nd encore doesn't quite match the 1st encore for me. Last Kiss is played for the 'club show'. Comatose and Leash follow before they play Big Wave for the 1st time on the tour. Kelly Slater is introduced for RIFTW before Mike closes the show with Yellow Ledbetter.
A superb boot, a must-listen in my opinion.
One of my favorite shows. The run of RVM to Alive is spectacular. Probably the best encore I've heard by them. My favorite, by far.

Decent enough boot but doesn't hit the heights of the previous show in San Diego.
Honourable mentions for Release (its always amazing), Matt's drum solo in Even Flow (it gets better each night on the tour so far), Here's To The State Of Mississipi (with Tim Robbins), Crown Of Thorns (2nd night played in a row) and Big Wave (outro is really cool on this version).

I did the same thing. And I can't wait to hear the 2013 boot. Hope it comes out very soon!
By the way, wasn't Mother great on the 2011 boot??
It's fantastic! One of the highlights of the show really, and probably my favorite version of it even though it hasn't been played often by PJ. Just a great show, but I have a feeling the 2013 show will put 2012 to bed.

Just finished Santiago 2013. The boys are in good form early in 2013.
Earlier listened to Hamilton 2011.
Nothing too exciting or that stands out from a set list stand point, but damn this is a great show and an excellent boot. The energy from the crowd and band is top notch. They just always play well in Canada and it shows that they love playing there. An epic version of Crazy Mary in this one, with an excellent dueling and finish between Mike and Boom. Top notch boot for sure.

Santiago 2013 was awesome!! I didn't hear the whole show-came in when Ed was singing Happy Birthday to God! Can't wait for the boot!!
As for Hamilton 2011, I was there, and it was mind blowing!! I haven't attended all that many concerts, but of the ones I have gone to, this one is my favorite-yes, even above Amsterdam 2! (sorry, Dimi! ) The crowd, the band's energy, Ed's obvious enjoyment of the crowd, the music (of course!) This is one that I almost missed, but I"m so so glad I was there!!

2nd night in LA. Very clunky start to the show. World Wide Suicide>Brain Of J>Animal>Marker In The Sand>Severed Hand are the 1st five songs and there is no flow between them. Even Flow & MFC try to get the tempo getting. Its Ok and I Believe In Miracles are tagged at the end of Daughter. A cover of X's I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts with Tim Robbins really doesn't work. A good Porch ends the main set.
1st encore however is very good. We're treated to Man Of The Hour and Off He Goes before getting Footsteps, Once and Alive. Big Wave gets another showing in the 2nd encore followed by Comatose, SOLAT and Leash before RITFW ends the show.
An ok boot.

Great show opening with Sometimes. Amazing stretch that include back to back Faithfull, Lukin, Not for you, Modern Girl, No Way.
