Wow, those guys fucking brought it! That was a goddam awesome show. :D

S/T album was unbelievable. I can't wait to get the stuidio version of The Bronze! The encores kicked ass (3's & 7's, Tangled Up in Plaid!). Josh was mocking some guy in the crowd, calling him Mr. Down Syndrome. Everybody was on for this one. 8-)

Others were Burn the Witch, Little Sister, Long Slow Goodbye, No One Knows - I think that's all.

Josh asked the crowd what we wanted to hear, and I'm not sure what was said, but he said - "Oh you want the deep cuts - we need to rehease to keep you people happy." Then they played 3's & 7's.

3's & 7's is like sex for my ear holes.

QOTSA came to Grand Rapids after they released Era Vulgaris. I was going to school around there at the time, but I didn't end up going to the show, because it was on a Tuesday and I didn't know of anyone who would go with me. I have been kicking myself over missing it ever since. And that's why I knew there wasn't a chance in hell I was missing them this time around. Good thing I was planning on going to Nashville that weekend anyway, and things fell into place.

Write it on a sign, and they'll probably play it for you. ;) Have fun! If you haven't seen these guys before, you are in for a hell of a time!

I think he milks that Grey Goose thing - I didn't see him actually drink that much. But he chain-smoked the whole show.

Oh, I already went, haha. 9 hours from my house to the Ryman, time zone change aside. I posted the setlist a few pages back; I had a great time.

I bet the vodka is actually water. I think he said he was drinking Kettle One at our show. He knocked back a whole bottle, and broke into another one, so I highly doubt that was straight liquor.

 (although we are all PJ spoiled - I'd love to also see QOTSA play a more-than-2-hours-set :D) It's good to finally see something of a review here - the community over at rekordsrekords is so lame

Sorry - it wasn't much of a review. Basically it was loud and everyone sounded amazing.

Also, Josh made some comments about how great the crowd was, and he doesn't seem like the type to just do that all the time (although maybe he does). 8-)

I uploaded my shaky 50 second long clip of Go With the Flow from the Nashville show. Nothing too excited. The venue frowned upon video recording, so I was trying to be sneaky.

Nice Josh-view  But what's wrong with the audience? Everyone is just standing still?

Haha, I dunno. First show I ever went to in Nashville. There were definitely some hardcore fans, but a lot of people seemed to be there more for the experience than the band. I've heard going to shows at the Ryman can be like that. It's a historic venue, and people go to shows there just to go to shows there, regardless of who is playing.
