Oof. thats going to be a tough one for them to overcome.

Definitely a blow to WM, if it's not a work. Other than that, I think Punk is incredibly overrated. If it is a work, it seems like a desperate rehash to get Punk to reach that peak he had a couple years ago.
His beef with part timers is fair, but if he got the reaction that The Rock and Lesnar got, maybe WWE wouldn't need them.
Batista hasn't worked out very well so far, though. He was popular as a wrestler, but never on the level of the others and has had no success outside of WWE to grab the casual fans.
I get why the current fans are pissed about the part timers, but as a person who loved the WWE up until like 2002, the only reason I will come back and watch it is to see The Rock and Lesnar and Triple H. Never liked Cena, Orton or Batista so it just wasn't worth watching anymore.

Orton is insufferable. Just the absolute worst. And really, they need so-called "part-timers" from the past because Wrestlemania is unwatchable without them. Undertaker is a part-timer at this point, but take away his matches at the last 5 WMs and the cards are trash. Rock is a part-timer but his presence popped the Wrestlemania buyrates huge the last three years. If Batista is anywhere near the final match of the night, it'll suck. If they insist in putting him in a title match then whatever. But it can't be the main-event. Personally, I'd like something more than just a one on one match. Maybe a tag in a nod to the first wrestlemania. The dream match for me is Punk and Bryan against HHH and Shawn Michaels. \

I'm not surprised 13 is so low. Taker/Sid main event was so lame even though Stone Cold/Bret was insanely good.
watching it a couple times in the past year, it just doesnt have it any longer. The characters and storylines just have nothing engaging. Also, WWE no longer seems willing, motivated, (and probably able) to push the envelope. I looked at #17 to see what that was, and man.... that was the shit.
None of the characters now do anything and they all really blend together. I thought CM Punk was the only one with a strong enough personality to be a "heel" that draws everyone in. The issue is, everyone is so desperate to see that kind of element, he becomes an unimpeachable fan favorite. Everyone else is blah. Im not even a Daniel Bryan fan. He reminds me of a more relevant Spike Dudley. Cena/Batista/Orton are all bores.

This whole CM Punk/Daniel Bryan situation fascinates me as an old fan. Sadly, WWE failed to capitalize on it. I tuned into the Raw to see how they would follow up and was bored to death. I made it through 90 minutes before turning it over to Full Throttle Saloon on Tru TV.

Went to Raw last night with my little cousin since his dad refuses to take him. Used to love this shit, but haven't watched much past few years. Shocked that CM Punk wasn't there last night. That place was ready to explode. I forgot how good the people watching at WWE events is!

awesome man!
Punk left after the Royal Rumble, I knew Punk wasn't gonna show up, although there were rumors that he might (part of me was hoping though). Would have been better if Punk's music hit then Bad News Barrett Came down and said "I've got some bad news for ya" )
The first half of RAW was fantastic. USO's winning the belts The Shield vs The Wyatt Family was great. Seth Rollins was fantastic with his maneuvers and landing on his feet. Looks like they are maybe setting up for a triple threat match between the Shield members?
Confirmed WM matches:
Randy Orton vs Batista :-< Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker
not confirmed yet matches/my guesses: Daniel Bryan vs HHH (if Bryan wins he gets a show at the WWE title later) John Cena vs Bray Wyatt Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins Big E vs Antonio Cesaro vs Jack Swagger (for the IC belt) The Uso's vs Erick Rowan & Luke Harper Sheamus vs Christian (No DQ Match) Mark Henry & Big Show vs New Age Outlaws Cody Rhodes vs Goldust (???) The Bella Twins vs AJ Lee & Natalya (or some kind of diva's tag team match) Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler

I have not watched much WWF in the last decade but the new WWF network is going to be amazing to see how it developed, whether you follow wrestling or not. This could be the vanguard on the end of cable and dish tv. PPV has found a way to cut out the middle man.
I'm sure UFC and boxing ... Well maybe not boxing because corruption leads to stupidity ... But surely the UFC is monitoring how this shakes out.

Hall Of Fame ceremonies were last night, pretty cool, kinda long though. Tonight is Wrestlemania XXX
My Predictions:
Daniel Bryan over Triple H Randy Orton over Batista and Daniel Bryan (Bryan gets screwed somehow) Undertaker over Brock Lesnar (not this year and def. not to Brock) Bray Wyatt over John Cena The Shield over Kane & The New Age Outlaws The Uso's over The Real Americans, Rybaxel, and Los Matadores The Big Show wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal AJ Lee wins the Vickie Guerrero's Divas Championhship Invitational
CM Punk will be there and get involved in either the Undertaker/Lesnar match or the triple threat main event Sting makes an appearance.
We know Hogan, Rock, and Austin will be there. Curious as to see what they do if anything.

Daniel Bryan over Triple H and Orton/Batista...can't decide if Punk returns and hoses HHH or Bryan, but I'm leaning this way, b/c I they'll wanna end the show on a big positive
Undertaker over Brock Lesnar....Sting gets a sneak preview tonight and debuts tomorrow, not sure if he'll fight his way to WMXXXI or if they'll set up a Taker match for next year.
Bray Wyatt over John Cena hopefully The Shield over Kane & The New Age Outlaws...but maybe a turn from one of the Shield guys The Uso's over The Real Americans, Rybaxel, and Los Matadores Andre battle royal.....eh, who cares, but probably Big Show or Sheamus, who will probably get stunnered afterwards AJ Lee wins the Vickie Guerrero's Divas Championhship Invitational
Bryan beats Triple H but Triple H beats the shit out of him with a sledgehammer afterwards and Bryan is replaced in the main-event by Mr. T's mom who pins Orton with a small package for the title.
2 and a half hours to go, I'm pretty excited. Don't follow WWE as much anymore but really enjoy watching the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania every year, even if i have to stay up until 4am!

2010 - Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter

Awesome way to start w/ Hogan, Rock and Austin in the same ring. Even w/ Hogan screwing up where they were.

Randy Orton vs Batista :-<
Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker
not confirmed yet matches/my guesses:
Daniel Bryan vs HHH (if Bryan wins he gets a show at the WWE title later)
John Cena vs Bray Wyatt
Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins
Big E vs Antonio Cesaro vs Jack Swagger (for the IC belt)
The Uso's vs Erick Rowan & Luke Harper
Sheamus vs Christian (No DQ Match)
Mark Henry & Big Show vs New Age Outlaws
Cody Rhodes vs Goldust (???)
The Bella Twins vs AJ Lee & Natalya (or some kind of diva's tag team match)
Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler

I'm sure UFC and boxing ... Well maybe not boxing because corruption leads to stupidity ... But surely the UFC is monitoring how this shakes out.

My Predictions:
Daniel Bryan over Triple H
Randy Orton over Batista and Daniel Bryan (Bryan gets screwed somehow)
Undertaker over Brock Lesnar (not this year and def. not to Brock)
Bray Wyatt over John Cena
The Shield over Kane & The New Age Outlaws
The Uso's over The Real Americans, Rybaxel, and Los Matadores
The Big Show wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
AJ Lee wins the Vickie Guerrero's Divas Championhship Invitational
CM Punk will be there and get involved in either the Undertaker/Lesnar match or the triple threat main event
Sting makes an appearance.

Bray Wyatt over John Cena hopefully
The Shield over Kane & The New Age Outlaws...but maybe a turn from one of the Shield guys
The Uso's over The Real Americans, Rybaxel, and Los Matadores
Andre battle royal.....eh, who cares, but probably Big Show or Sheamus, who will probably get stunnered afterwards
AJ Lee wins the Vickie Guerrero's Divas Championhship Invitational
