Jerry asks George in a season 8 or 9 cold open, if abducted by aliens, would George rather be placed in their zoo or their circus. Which did George choose and why?

i have no recollection of this, but i'm going to give it my best george:
G: a zoo, obviously J: why obviously? G: come on, jerry, are you KIDDING me? in a circus they make you learn tricks, jump through hoops. in a zoo you get to just laze around all day as people throw food at you. FREE PEANUTS JERRY. simply no comparison.

Many of those cold opens in season 8 and 9 are cut for syndication because they have nothing to do with the plot. Same way a lot of Jerry's standups are cut from seasons 6 and 7 in syndication.
He does choose zoo. His reasoning is that he can set his own schedule, and they might put a woman in there with him to mate.
Jerry: But what if she's not interested? George: Then I'm in the same position I'm in now. At least I got a ride on a spaceship.
If you haven't seen that, then you might not have seen a bunch of these. Here's a compilation of some of those season 8 and 9 cold opens....
Did they cut the stand up scenes for syndication or just not do them? I thought they stopped doing them towards the final few seasons...
He stopped doing them in seasons 8 and 9 (except for the Finale). Many stand ups in seasons 5-7 are cut for syndication. And many season 8-9 cold opens, like the ones in the video above, are cut.
-What is the name of the book that Alton Benes (Elaine's father) wrote? -What is the name that Donald O'Brien (Nazi whose limo was taken by Jerry and George) wrote? -What is the name of the book Kramer has that details the wreck of the Andria Doria? (Bonus: when offering up that book, what's the other book Kramer says he has?)
The Big Game, by Donald O'Brien. "Well, it's just a game. Remember that, kids."
Not sure of the others.
Wife's cousin on facebook named her new dog Olive and said it was a Seinfeld reference. Asked if anyone knew the connection. Super easy, but I was the only one who replied who knew what it was. I'm assuming everyone here knows it right?
Part of my reply was me saying I was glad she didn't name it "Seven," as I was saving that for our next dog, which is true if I can convince the wife to go along. I would absolutely love to have a dog named Seven. I will have a built in Seinfeld litmus test for anyone who comes in contact with that pooch.
I'm guessing it's a reference to Olive the coffee shop worker with the long nails that gave Kramer back scratches.
You're right on The Big Game. "Just a game. He's so humble." Alton Benes' book is similarly titled "Fair Game." And the two books that Kramer has are "Astonishing Tales of the Sea" and "Amazing Bear Attacks."
Here's another piece of art. When pitching the Jerry show, George says he once wrote an off-Broadway play (off-off-Broadway to be exact). What was the name of it, and what was it about?
A correct answer here earns a tough bonus question.
it was about a guy named Pepe. Can't recall the rest.
lol, well actually that's the answer to the "tough bonus question." The play was called "La Cochina" and it was about a Mexican chef. And the bonus question was to have been "what's the name of the chef?"

damn, I would have guessed Mexican chef, but thought that was too easy, so figured I must be wrong. But I never would have guessed the name of the play.
Okay let's stick with the Jerry show. The audition material for George, Elaine, and Kramer were all actual scenes from previous episodes. Jerry reads with the actress auditioning for Elaine (who doesn't get the part), the actor auditioning for George does get the part, and the actor auditioning for Kramer is Kramer himself (has to leave to use the bathroom).
What were the three past scenes that were recreated for these auditions?
All I can recall is the Kramer one: "levels, Jerry.....levels"
Okay so I actually misspoke with the question. You're right. They do show the audition of the actor who gets the role of Kramer (who steals the raisins) and he does do the "levels" scene. But then Kramer himself comes in and tries to do a different scene.

actually, I misread it. dammit, I can't remember the one kramer did. was it the "make your own pie" scene?

"I saw Joe DiMaggio in Dinky Donuts today.....(dramatic pause) but this time.....I went in."
Elaine audition: "What's that look? (From "The Deal" in season 2) George audition: "A man....gave me a massage." (From "The Note" in season 3) Kramer audition (guy that got the part): "Levels, Jerry. Like ancient Egypt" (From "The Pony Remark" in season 1) Kramer audition (Kramer himself): "I saw Joe DiMaggio in Dinky Donuts." (Also from "The Note" in season 3)
