Leeze wrote:Can anyone tell what the acoustics are like in this Alpine vally venue? I don't like this pavillion that much - does it feel like a kind of open air concert despite the roof and all that?
And I think it would be ok to have one lawn ticket and one for the pavillion if you get a two-day package ... Sounds fair
Probably the same as every other out door amphitheater. Average in the seated and below average in the lawn area.
Terrible venues other than you get to enjoy the weather, unless of course it rains and then it's horrible.
My guess is that all the seated area seats will be sold as 2 day VIP passes and will be much more expensive.Member 164xxx

Close enough to the venue?
Wow a whole 450 people can camp there. I'm sure that will hold us all.
Probably not, but it would be the place to be if that is indeed where the concert were taking place. It is what I envisioned from the moment this thing was leaked. A big campground full of PJ fans, and a weekend of great music.Salt Lake City, Utah - Sept 28, 2009

I don't know, those camping rules made it sound totally lame if you ask me. I think I'd rather be somewhere else.Member 164xxx

I don't think 3 shows is enough to cover operating costs. I know for a fact that Jimmy Buffett has some crazy contract where the venue only takes in a minimal amount of profit, while the rest goes in his pocket. My guess is that Live Nation would be willing to allocate a much larger than usual percentage of tickets to the Ten Club, just so they would have more shows at the venue.
DMB will be at alpine this summer0 -

Wrong! Scalpers buy concerts from around the country regardless of where the scalper resides....very few scalpers would be willing to drive all the way to bfe to meet and swipe at the door (which does happen - but only local scalpers can do this). So you have a handful of scalpers from Milwaukie and surrounding area who might drive to the venue. The scalpers in the other 47 states that are not right next to Wisconsin would be cut out of the mix with a willcall only situation.Gorge0 -
Just booked the "concert suite" at alpine resort. 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. Stumbling distance to the venue... not bad for $250 a night.0

You'd be surprised how many scalpers are 10 Club members. Until they get caught of course.Member 164xxx

So, is this going to be the only North American PJ20 show as far as the festival setting goes? I know there's a possibility of a Fall tour, but I was just curious as far as the 20th anniversary show goes? I'm not complaining, it's under a 10 hour drive, but I did have hopes of something a little closer. Also, has any little birdies said anything about possible tour cities for the fall or are we in the south going to be sad again? Thanks!Hearts and thoughts they fade....

After doing some research, the cost is likely to double after an official announcement. Since its not official, this is as cheap as its gonna get. Also, I'm only out $75 if I decide to cancel. Just a heads up.0 -

I don't care if it triples. hahahahaha. That place looks nice and I'm not camping unless I have to.
Money really is no concern. This is our summer vacation this year and will probably drive so we have a car.
Quick question. Is that a set price no matter how many people or is it per person for the suite. Our party will most likely be 4 people.Member 164xxx

I just went browsing on there and saw this tiny notice:
If your reservation date range becomes a concert date, then our concert rates will override all other rates.
From one Atlanta fan to another, I hope that doesn't affect your rate.0
